Honestly our issues really didnt pertain tooooo much to the food. Upon entering, there was definitely an unpleasant smell. We... were greeted and the staff seemed polite, however the table we were seated at was right under a security camera with motionsensor lights so every time I moved, the lights blared at me. The chips were very thick and a little over cooked. The realkicker though, is the fact that apparently they have amazing margaritas but it was clearly just some cheap neon green margaritamix that tasted terribly fake and cost $12. The main dishes were actually pretty good and the green sauce was nice. Unfortunately it didn't make up for everything else. For two entrees and one margarita it was about $50. I ate their taco plate that has rice and beans. Was not impressed. I felt like there was no flavor at all to the chicken and It... was so wet from whatever juices they had it soaking in that the tortillas broke apart while I was eating it. It was a completemess. The disappointment is, it's tacos how hard is it to make tacos? I will say the margarita was pretty good. The bathroomsmelled and was a complete turn off when I washed my hands. I didn't even want to use their toilet. Things are pretty muchoutdated in this place but that doesn't matter compared to what the food quality is. Read more
Enjoyed the molcajete very much! The salsas were fantastic. For such a small restaurant it had a constant flow of people eating... in and to go orders. The server was great she had a wonderful personality and never stopped smiling. Read more
I've eaten here a number of times now over the past year and a half and the food is always very good. They gave splendid... flavors and great plating. One of my favorites. Sorry about the missing taco, the chicken tinga called to me. Read more
Wife and I went to Moreno's one early Sunday night. The place only had a few couples sitting in the dining area, so we were... sitted right away. The interior is kind of Southwestern/Mexican. It is clean but there were problems with cleaning. The menuis a little limited but most of the classics are present. I went with a special and the wife had enchilada suizas. A very funnyincident happen when the server gave the cook the order. They had a few words and the the server picked up the special board.She then showed the cook the "special". He shook his head and shrugged. I guess neither knew what the special was. Theenchilada suizas was way to spicy for the wife so we traded meals. I found it okay, not that spicy, but serviceable. The"special" turned out to be a fried shrimp taco salad. The salad was just okay. The fried shrimp were straight out of the freezerbox. The salad part was good but a little strange because it had rice at the bottom instead of beans. The wife found that arefreshing change. The knock on this restaurant this day. Not enough service people. There were only two employees present. Aserver and a cook. Everything was slow. I even saw a regular get up and help the server clear plates. Read more
They now have their liquor license and bar is open. No draft beer, only a small selection of bottled beer. My strawberry... margarita came with salt on the rim, not sugar. If I'd have known, I would have requested no salt. Food was good. Guacamolewas just ok. Salsa was really tasty. Chips were a bit hard for my taste. I like thin chips better. Overall, good experience.
