Reviews for Las Trojes Mexican Restaurant in Sparks, NV
Very casual atmosphere, quick service too. The tamales and enchiladas had a lot of flavor. Perfect for a fast dinner, at a... reasonable price. Read more
Se great, authentic Mexican food! And run by a lovely couple, they are so friendly and have the best service around! I got a... pina colada margarita and one of the combos to try as much as possible, and it did not disappoint. Even the chips and salsa isfantastic! This is our favorite Mexican place in Sparks. Las Trojes Mexican Restaurant in Spanish Springs, NV was mediocre on taste of food, and my female server did not ask if I needed... a refill on my drink. The salsa was like dipping the cold chips in to just tomato sauce. No tasty salsa at all, and the chipswere cold. The Steak fajitas were not served on a sizzling platter, the beans and rice had no flavor. When I do not eat up myrefried beans, you know it wasn't tasty. I will not return here to eat in the future. We were looking to try something new. Our usual spot is closed due to fire damage. The food wasn't awful, but could have used... some more seasoning. The staff seemed very disinterested and inattentive. We ordered the taquitos appetizer for our 6 year oldand when the bill arrived we were charged more than what was listed on the menu. When pressed the server said the appetizer isfor a two taquito meal but we got 3. That wasn't mentioned on the menu, nor what we asked for. We'll try somewhere else nexttime. Read more
On a cold Monday night, we ventured out to Las Trojes. The wife started with a top shelf margarita and I got a draft Pacifico.... The margarita was smooth and very delicious. We ordered a chimichanga and a chili relleno combo. The chimichanga was full ofshredded beef and cheese, no fillers. The combo was a chili relleno, chicken enchilada and ground beef taco. Everything on theplate was good except the taco. A little too bland for my tastes. It was just a tortilla, ground beef and a bit of lettuce. Theservice is adequate, nothing fantastic. Restaurant interior was clean and was observing pandemic protocols. Read more
Stopped in to give the place a try. Found out why the place was almost empty. Food was average tasting at best. Not the worst... I?ve ever had, but the prices are crazy!! $6 for a coors light draft beer. When I asked why so much, the woman only said ?that?sthe price.? Apparently the owners figured they would price gouge the few customers they get, in order to pay the bills. I doubtthey will be around much longer! I do know I?ll never go back again! Read more
