Reviews for Engine 8 Urban Winery in Sparks, NV
Honesty here. We went for a tasting only. The wine was bad. It tasted sweet, tart, and immature. It needs to age at least a few... more years. The steel barrel stuff tasted so bad. Good atmosphere. Pretty place. Good service. When our server was ghost for abit, another server came to check on us. We didn't try the food but I'm guessing the food is probably why there are a ton offive star reviews. Read more
Fantastic food and service in a great environment. Highly recommend. I hosted a party in the event space with 50 attendees. The... room and the adjacent patio worked out perfectly. The food was set up on time, it was attractively arranged, and everyone lovedit. (No small feat when you're trying to please 50 people.) Read more
We found it fairly priced for the venue. We came while they had live music, created a good atmosphere! Wine was good and pizza... was tasty, good vibes and service. Deserves the 5 stars. Read more
Good, but expensive. There's a decent vibe to the place and they sometimes have a little "live" music (one man with a guitar... and his laptop does the rest). I'll definitely be back to Engine 8, but at their high prices, not very often. Read more
Took a group of 7 for the first time as we were all visiting the Reno area; Wendi was wonderful to converse with me from the... beginning, making reservations by phone and confirming on email, suggesting the urban winery tour and the wine tasting startedon tap; the charcuterie boards and pizzas complimented well with the different reds. It wasn't bad for an urban wineryexperience. Read more
I love the environment at this place! Great live music on Saturday nights! Had the best time. The pizza is delicious and... perfect, the wine is smooth and full of flavor. The owners are wonderful and so is the staff. Love the vibe, will be coming backoften! Read more
This was my first time here and it was the best experience I've had in a very long time. We met up with a group of friends and... grabbed a large table outside. The weather was great and the outdoor atmosphere was fantastic. The service was on point & thefood & drinks was spectacular. There was live music which made the night even better. I can't wait to go again. Read more
Ummmmmm...a friend of a friend suggested we check out this place, and the name of the place was enticing indeed. Then I saw all... the 5-star reviews and really thought this might be perfect. A chalkboard at the entrance tells you "Best Pizza in Town", whichis saying a lot knowing Blind Onion, Noble Pie & Mama Celeste level pies. Fun ambience when you walk in and the fella behind thebar was charming, not to mention amazing prices for wine flights. Then things went awry. The wine is made in house, and I haveto give props for taking on that level of work despite the challenges of owning a business like this, but it's not just "young"but tastes rather odd like a mix between tart water and wine. My friend got a margarita pizza (nothing else to eat on menu),which looked rather close to cardboard and apparently not quite Totinos quality in taste. The waitress was not at all ascharming as the first person who helped us. Long story short, I love to support local businesses, but I think that I'll leavethis spot to the 5-star reviewers. Read more
