Where do I start, walked in there were 3 people at register 2 guys working one was running the register the other was more... interested in changing the latin music to another latin station. When the guy at the register gets done he offers to help thepeople behind me while the other guy just stood there staring into space. Case was pretty lean. But the 8 donuts I got weregood. Read more

The inside of this place is comfy and warm. I like the simple decor and the sunny window seating. The parking lot can be a... little funny to get into though.\n\nAt 10:30AM the donuts looked mostly fresh. Some looked more stale than others, but nothinglooked out of place. The big donuts could be a fun crowd pleaser for sure.\n\nThe apple fritter is good. It has a crispy outsideand soft inside and the flavor is strong but not overwhelming. Since arriving in Reno (now over 2 years), I have gone to the Bistro for doughnuts. Originally, there were two guys behind the... counter, no overcomplicated electric chip reader, nor state of the art video menu. The line started at the cases and ended up atthe register. Not only was the simplicity easy to appreciate, but the doughnuts were - and still might be - better than anyothers in town. So, what\'s the problem? After waiting at the cases for a few minutes to order this morning, someone came inafter me and ordered ahead of me; both him and the cashier ignoring me waiting there patiently. Nice video menu, still no signssaying where to order, no place to take numbers. Not that it matters, usually someone in the store ahead of you is ahead inline. It would have been nice if the cashier had asked who\'s next or pointed out to the other customer that someone was aheadof him. I guess she was confused, not wearing her cut-up jeans (Is that to health code, staff wearing torn and cut up clothingin a place serving food?). Realizing that patience and manners are wasted at the shop, I left. Yeah, I like Donut Bistrodoughnuts, however, being ignored while waiting to be served really kills it.
