This fall, Edgwood Golf Course hosted our golf tournament and I could not have been happier with the course, the people and the... day overall. The course was in perfect shape. The course was amazing, very good playing and not too busy. The staff was friendly and helpful, helped me pick some golf balls... from the used bin, and came out with a cool logo ball for a souvenir. Would be back here to play the next round of holes. Thecarts seemed fine, the holes were nice, some long, some short. Had some tricky shots and some cool layouts. This will be the last time I play at Edgewood. The course is in horrendous condition; every area is rock hard even the tee box... is hard to push your Tee in. The fairways are totally burn up as if they have not had any water since spring. The greens aregreen but they are rock hard too. It was incredible how far and how high the ball would bounce and roll because of how hard theground was. The golf carts are all gas powered and underpowered. They may have gone barely 10mph and felt like they were boggingdown in any type of incline. What is most frustrating is that we paid $31 for 9 holes with a cart on Saturday. Every othercourse in this area in that price range is in MUCH better condition. This course is the same quality as a municipal course thatshould charge $15-20 max. I used to play Edgewood all the time 10 years ago and the condition was fine then. I gave them twostars because the staff is very friendly, every other part of the experience was very disappointing. Our go to course during the summer, it's close, reasonably priced, well taken care of. The lay out is good, holes are... challenging but not impossible. If there would be a complaint it's the up hill 18th, always a tough battle after a long day ofgolf, thank God for golf carts. Read more
