This place is always amazing but tonight, Jackie made it the best experience ever. My daughter (4) asked for lemonade and... instead of telling her they don't have that, Jackie made her a pink lemonade and even added glitter and flair to it. An act sosimple, yet she made our daughter's entire night! Service is fantastic and the food is always delicious! Thank you!!! Read more

Visited Southport with a friend just for the day. Cafe Koa was recommended by one of my co-worker's. The vibe of the place was... great, our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered 3 different items onthe menu to share, and enjoyed ever item we ordered. Would definitely visit again. Also met the owner...she's awesome!! Read more

Small and unassuming from the outside. They work with what the building has to offer. Entering it?s a mix of island, beach,... jungle and eclectic art. Menu is super catchy, mostly 80?s music named entrees with Hawaiian twist. Where else do you find spamand grilled pineapple tacos with fried wontons? We started with the fried green tomatoes which were traditional cornmealbattered. Served with a packet of honey. Perfectly fried and crispy. Next our entrees- Grilled Mahi Mahi tacos with side offried wontons and a Bobby McGee salad with grilled romaine and added tuna. When you order a salad here you have the choice ofgrilled romaine or mixed greens. Go with the grilled romaine. The extra flavor will make your salad wow! The tuna was perfection- rare encrusted with sesame seeds. Everything in that salad was spot on. Super fresh. There was only one complaint about thegrilled Mahi Mahi tacos - they disappeared too fast and they could eat about five more! Desserts change daily based on whatcakes and treats a local baker has brought in. Gluten free available too. They looked very homemade and really beckoned to graba glass of milk and a hunkin? slice of cake. We cannot wait to get back to one of our new favorite places locally. Read more

My wife went here a few times. She has been vegan since 2007. She encouraged me to go with her (I am very much not vegan). This... place has one of the best menus that everyone can find something on. We go there all the time now. The food is amazing for bothour tastes. Breakfast vs dinner is two equally amazing experiences. The service is totally some of the best I?ve everhad. This business is located in downtown Southport and they are heavily invested in the community as well. I had noticed myfirst visit that the little clipboards they use for the check had a lot of stickers on them. I front a local music project andgave them some stickers and they immediately put those stickers on the clipboards. My only personal complaint is that sodacomes in cans. I wish they had fountain soda. I tend to drink a lot of soda while eating out and this is the only place I holdback since the can refills aren?t free. That?s literally the only bad thing I can say. This is one of my family?s favoriteplaces to eat. Period. We will keep going back over and over again. For the food. For the people. Love this place! Read more
