Pretty quick location...I love their cheeseburgers. Crinkle fries are my favorite. Great place and price. I just wish the ones... that cook the food cared more for their appearance. Sitting out back for the customers to see your filthy aprons and you takinga smoke can be a turn off. I understand working in a kitchen can get messy I did it for yrs but you can take better pride in theappearance. I was well kept all day even in the busiest kitchens. It's a choice people. Sent someone to buy breakfast. Long wait time. After the person got to work, it was discovered that half of the order was left... out, and the rest was prepared incorrectly. When called, the response was "You can come tomorrow for a replacement." (We didn'teven mention the incorrect one.) Guess one of us has to wait until lunch to eat today. (Diet restrictions prevent sharing.) Butnot at Tops. We just unwrapped the other sandwich and the egg was burned to a very dark brown. Inedible rubber. We went back fora refund and......they did not give us the correct amount. Absolute total fail. Read more
I want to preface this with saying that I love bbq and love Tops. It's a childhood staple that personally I have always enjoyed.... It is affordable - I got a 6 sandwich party pack for less than I paid for 2 meals at Krystal's a couple of weeks ago. 2 starsfor affordability, convenience and customer service (everyone was nice). However, this is a picture of the meat included withthat party pack. Most of which was hard and obviously very old. The meat also included a piece of a toothpick and some randombits of lettuce -both of which I will optimistically hope originated from a sandwich. I am sure I was difficult in asking for a6 pack of white meat within a couple of hours of closing. It isn't usually an issue and I know folks are short staffed but I'dprefer being told they don't have it versus having the meat scraped together like this. Read more
The very best Memphis spare ribs, OMG, first time ever in Memphis and the name of the place reminded me of a friend who passed... away, so I had to stop, very best food, great service and also known for their pulled pork and hamburger.. both are awardwinning, I'm making sure to stop by every time I come through town.. Always have loved tops but this is complete garbage. The pulled pork is dry and hard as a bone. Clearly leftover and reheated... from who knows how long ago. Also the black things made of straight fat are supposed to be brisket. It is inedible fat. Nevereven got the ribs I paid for. The owner and manager have to have better quality control and not let food like this go out tocustomers. I?ll try one more time. Read more
Only guest in the entire restaurant. Double bacon cheeseburger combo with mayo, mustard, pickle, onion only. Double fries as... sides. Receipt clearly shows this as my order. Got meal. No bacon. Shredded lettuce on burger. Saw mayo, pickles, and I thinkdiced onion, but no mustard. Went back to counter to ask for bacon. They brought me some extra crispy bacon crumbled in a smallto-go cup. I think they deep fried it quickly. Burger patties tasted fine. Fries were hot, crisp, and tasty. Employees werenice. I even tipped them. But this is not how to build return business. There are so many places to eat in Memphis andSouthaven. No reason to not read the order thoroughly and prepare the ONE counter order correctly. Might have to stick with theUnion Avenue location. I used to work here. Was let go bc I had problems and was told when I take care of them I can come back. Well I fixed the... problem but the manager told me to stay away or I would have the cops called for trespassing. But I was there the other day tohelp out a friend that works there. The manager told me to get my stuff away from the store when I was not even on theproperty. And my stuff was nextdoor but I did what he asked and moved it two feet ???? and he left but other than that food isgreat. the others that work there are great and very helpful and polite and it's very clean from what I can remember hope youtry it out for your self.
