I've now dined here about a half-dozen times of the course of 12 months. I can assert that the food I've tried has always been... prepared well and is tasty and delicious. The house salad is simple, but always crisp greens and consistent. The pasta plates(with and without chicken) with a half loaf of toasted garlic bread, the bbq pizza, all have been enjoyable. It may be anillusion, but in the later half of 2022, I think they may have reduced the portion size for the pasta dishes? I seem to recallbarely being able to finish my plate, and yet my September 2022 visit was an easy finish. The prices are about the same. I'm notcomplaining - at least now I don't have to take leftovers to the hotel and my bill is still about the same as lastyear. Service in 2022 was as good as 2021 - consistent. One 2022 visit was a bit of a mess (appetizer ordered but neverdelivered and the entrée was incorrect pasta), but my guest and I ate without really complaining because the food was stillgood. My husband visited Avellino's last night so I could have a night off from cooking dinner. If I could rate this establishment and... our experience last night I'd give them a sad and disappointing zero. The ordeal tonight was the most awful, unsettling, anddegrading experience. We started patronizing Abellino's years ago without any noticeable issues but this time we were treated sopoorly by the employees especially from one racist crew member in particular he was downright despicable boldly making commentsunder his breath that he assumed my husband couldn't hear but did and so did one of the hostesses, therefore, he was sent homewhile my husband walked out behind him to leave with 2 pizza pies this "worker" closed the door in my husbands face. Weordered/paid online and was given an expectant ready time of 7:18 pm. A manager was requested but no one cared to look for hisorder or even locate a manager to discuss/resolve this matter. When he finally received our food it was ice cold. Only onehostess that repeatedly apologized showed any concern regarding this mistreatment. This is certainly not the customer service weare accustomed to receiving when spending our hard-earned money. I wouldn't recommend patronizing this establishment ever againto allow this type of small-mindedness in their place of business dealing with different cultures. He and I will definitelyspread the word around our neighborhood and at our place of employment. I've been told that Mike McCune owns this establishmentand that the day shift is totally different from the night. During the day Ms. Peggy and Ms. Shirley are the cooks there Iwonder if they are aware of such blatant racism being tolerated. Read more
This is a hidden gem. Everything on the menu is consistently excellent. The Alfredo sauce is second only to mom's homemade, the... pizza bread is not to be missed and the salad with homemade Italian dressing is fantastic. Enjoy! Read more
If I could rate this establishment and my experience tonight I'd give them a sad zero. My ordeal tonight was the most awful,... unsettling, and degrading experience that I have ever experienced since I started patronizing Avellino?s years ago. I've neverbeen treated so poorly the service that I received from a racist crew member was the nastiest. He made comments that he assumedI couldn't hear but I did hear and so did one of the hostesses, therefore, he was sent home while walking out behind him with my2 pies he closed the door in my face. I ordered/paid online and was given an expectant ready time of 7:18 pm. I requested amanager but no one cared to look for my order or even get a manager so that I could discuss this matter. I do not usually leave bad reviews. If I could give it a 0 review I would. This is the second time I've ordered and had food... delivered. The 1st time they let someone else sign my receipt and leave them a tip. When I called about it they told me it'snothing they could do about it. I ordered today and when I received my food it was cold, hard, and hardly any meat inside it.When I called and talked with the management team I was told that they basically can't control if the food comes cold becauseits delivery. Then I was told that I could bring the food back and get it replaced. If I had time to do all tha I wouldn't haveordered delivery. I only had an hour lunch and I work at a school. So that wasn't an option. I will not be ordering anythingwith them again. Read more
