Reviews for White Elephant Restaurant in South San Francisco, CA
Overall, hit and miss. It's a little shop that has no frills mom and pop vibes. An hour before closing and it was still super... packed. The single server was SUPER busy but I don't blame him. My tom yum noodle soup was delicious but the pad mee wassomething I could have thrown together at home. Food: 6/10 Service: 5/10 Vibes: 4/10 Value: 5/10 Read more
The food was delicious! Quick service as well the place is just a little dirty with flies in lobby but probably because the... front door is left open. The masaman curry and the mango rice dessert were 10/10!! Woupd come back just for t h one if we're inthe area. Read more

THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!!! Thai food is already so good with all the flavors but I?m sad I don?t live closer to this place bc it?s... so good. My husband would come here when he was younger for the crab fried rice, which we ordered because I needed to try it.But we also ordered the larb, fried herb fish, yellow curry with pork, stuffed eggplants and the Thai tea. Literally all of itwas so good and I?m salivating just thinking about the food. If our stomachs were bigger I probably would have ordered thenoodle soup dishes and a fried noodle dish, but maybe next time..however long away that is ???? Read more
Very tasty. Egg Plant was very good, the sauce delicious. Great service!
Authentic food. Chicken Pad Thai is a go to for me. The crab fried rice is always great. Angel wings are always satisfying as... well. Good portions outside of the really small mango sticky rice. (Which taste amazing) and the Thai tea is a must but ask forless ice. (Also pretty small) I don?t suggest the chicken satay. Fair prices. Cleanliness is fair as well as the wait time. Thisa very small restaurant. Hardly ever find parking. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended. Read more
If you live near this place and you?re craving Thai food, nothing wrong with going to White Elephant. Cozy vibes, concise menu,... good service, nice home-style fare. Always remember to ask for the sauces because the base seasoning is very mild. But, notworth going out of your way to. The flavor profile is average to below average and not wholly appealing visually either. Thegreen curry fried rice for example had a nice aroma, but the taste was very subdued and wanting. The tofu texture was good butcould use more seasoning and more veggies could have incorporated into the dish. The chili powder helped immensely. I wouldn?tmind if I had another curry to eat the fried rice with, but the dish was unable to stand on its own. Read more
