Arguably the best place in South San Francisco to go for pastries! I have been here about a dozen times and it?s a great... atmosphere for anything from homework to a coffee date. This is the best place for all special cakes and to go place for good pastries. I have always loved their coffee cake , red... velvet for any immediate occasion/ celebrations . I like Paris Baguette's pastries but this location tend to over-bake all of their pastries as you can see in some pictures... people posted (darker & drier inside + out). I like golden yellow brown but not when it's brown to dark brown. I like to beable to reheat them with my convection oven at home sometimes to crisp them up a bit which makes it even tastier but becausethey're already over-baked, it would get burned pretty easily. Prices for pastries & baked goods are pricier ($3-6 each) thanmost asian bakeries (Fancy, 85°, Sheng Kee, etc) but cheaper than the more fancy competitors like Tartine, etc. Their cakesare dreamy looking but alot of chiffon & cream@ $5-$7/slice or $35-$40/cake. Macarons are good but pretty pricey. I think theywere small@$2.50ea, big@$3.50ea. My kids & I prefer to get a pack of 12 macarons @Traders Joes for only about $4 or $5 & theyare just as good at a much better price. I don't usually get their drinks (coffee, tea) because they tend to be bland,water-down & not very flavorful. I prefer to get Starbucks, Peets or Philz. Read more
