Reviews for Ben Tre Restaurant in South San Francisco, CA
Good food, big portions. Got 5 spice chicken with garlic noodles. The chicken was a bit sweet/caramelized. The noodles despite... having several visible chunks of garlic didn't taste much like garlic. So it wasn't quite seasoned to my taste, but I will comeback to try different things. Pho was good too, beef was better, meat balls were too chewy. Service was lightening fast, therewere 4 people running around efficiently serving like 80 people, cleaning, and doing take out / cash register. Part of the funwas just watching them run around! ??????? Read more
First time here. Ordered combination pho and garlic noodles with 5-spice chicken. The food quantity is good. Pho was full of... meat, but the broth was salty. I loved the garlic noodles, but the chicken, not so much. The ambience was good, servers werefriendly, and service was fast. I get the hype with garlic noodles, but everything else is meh Read more
Nothing but great things to say about this place. Very fast service, reasonably priced and good food. You cannot ask for better!
Excellent food! I've eaten there a few times, I really like it. This time we got food to go and went home and realized one of... our orders was missing. We had to go back to get it and they wanted to charge me. I asked if I could get some of the chargetaken off. The older women, probably the owner got angry. Because of the language barrier I'm not sure if it was towards us ornot. It was very awkward/uncomfortable! They did give us the order at no charge like I feel they should have. The food is verygood and when in the area I will go again for sure. Read more
Good vietnamese dishes. Quite variety of menus.. all delicious. Recommended
A nice assortment of Vietnamese standards, vegetarian options and plates rarely seen at pho restaurants. Shrimp spring rolls had... a nice hint of mint, the canh chua ca (hot sweet and sour catfish soup) was exactly as described with fresh additions of beansprouts, pineapple and tamarind. A great cure for a hangover. While prices are a bit high, portions are big and easilyshareable. Read more
????Back at it again at my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant in the bay. Ben Tre gots the best pho combination! Pho Ben Tre Dac... Biet (Ben Tre Delux Noodle Soup). Fight me on it ???????????? Lines can be long at 12pm and 6pm, so plan accordingly. There arestreet parking further up or on a Sunday we usually just park at the parking structure around the corner for free We got thecombination appetizer and it had so many goodies. Yes it cost more than a pho bowl but it?s food! Ya gotta splurge 8). We gotnuoc mum and peanut sauce to use for dipping. We received two shrimp spring rolls, two shrimp skewers, four yummy Vietnamesegrilled pork meatballs, two imperial rolls, sugarcane and crispy shrimp, vermicelli, and lettuce. Totally recommend if youballing! Their vermicelli bowl is one of my go to also! But that will be for an updated review. Thanks. Read more
Clean & well-lit. A little chilly sometimes with all the doors & windows always open. You kinda forget about that when the food... comes. Chicken was perfectly cooked & flavor was on point. Going back ASAP for the yellow rice clay pot. One of the best I'veever had. Service is fast & friendly. Prices are reasonable. You may have to wait for a table, but it's worth it. Read more
