Reviews for Ali Baba's King of Gyros in West St Paul, MN
The rice was very tough. It wasn't fresh and soft like most places. It's like if you're early for lunch when they first open,... they reheat rice and it's tough. I'm Asian and I know my rice texture well as a person who eats rice everyday. Lots of gyromeat. Service was pretty fast only bc I was one of the early customers. Y'all need to do better with the rice though. This wasmy first and last time I'll be coming back here. Read more
This place is so good. The family that operates it is so friendly and helpful. The food is usually ready really quickly.... Everything I've eaten is super good, I usually get the falafel gyro because I avoid meat most of the time. They also sell a lotof ingredients a la carte, so sometimes we'll just buy the ingredients and make our own gyros at home, they never turn out asgood but it's a great way to feed a big group. Poisoned by old food. Sanitary issues, saw a cockroach on the counter. Please avoid at all costs, I have spent a night in ER... recovering. The food may look on the platter, but very unsanitary in the back kitchen. Read more
Really good "Gyro-combo", the meat is tasty (I tried lamb) and the fries are soft (if you prefer soft french fries don't forget... to let them know), the two man worker there are friendly. I tried another gyro at Roseville-Cleveland Ave but the size of gyrois smaller and the meat dry, compare with the Ali Baba's King of Gyros, it worth to drive to Robert St, St Paul. Read more
One of the best little places I've stopped into in years. Food is delicious, but there's also options for picky eaters and kids... who need their comfort basics. The staff/owners are the sweetest people ever, very attentive and friendly whenever we go in. Tryit! Read more
The gyros are fresh and tasty. The salads are good. Their cucumber sauce is awesome: it?s cool and creamy but not too thick.... Portion sizes are good to very good. Prices are good. In my opinion, the baklava is a little dry. However, I like minepractically dripping with honey, so your preference and enjoyment may vary. On the other hand, the baklava portions are prettygenerous and it?s fresh! Note: they encourage take out versus dine-in. I think they have some patio seating outside. Read more
One of WSP?s lunchtime treasures: great people serving great food. If you?re going to go, please remember this food takes more... time and effort than the average fast food places, but the quality and taste are worth the wait (and the longer wait reallyisn?t all that long). The #34 vegetarian combo pita sandwich is arguably the best in the SE metro, and the fries are delightful.Someday I?ll save room for some of that tempting baklava? Read more
