Update: The staff were pretty friendly again, but it took a while for us to not only get drinks but also our food. It was at the... point where two parties that came in behind us got their orders first. They were busy, so I understand, but, still, sort of anegative experience. The drinks and the kimchi tacos were good, but I got the steak again to see if it would be any better andit wasn't. It was cooked how I asked, but the cut was just so fatty and grisly it was hard to chew. The risotto was also alittle under-cooked, but had a decent flavor. I recommend either the prices be lowered or find a bettersteak-supplier. Original: This place is really trying. They have a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly, there's uniquefood, but the actual food quality just falls a little short. It's a mediumly-priced restaurant so I was expecting to have asteak better than what I'd find at Applebees; half of it was gristle and fat. My fiancee's fries were a little soggyalso. Everything else, like I said, was great. It was our first time coming here so maybe it was just a fluke. I'll update whenwe go back. Read more
Sushi rice was undercooked- never experienced undercooked glutinous rice with maki rolls. Person who I was dining with has been... here 20 times and mentioned there was one occasion the sushi rice was al dente. He mentioned it to staff and they were notreceptive of the feedback. They need to remedy that; get some rice cookers for pete?s sake- no shame in that. I ate all mysushi. Would have been nice if the rice was properly prepared though. Read more
Great Food! Great Atmosphere. If you are looking for a fun night out, I definitely recommend X Vault!
Brussels sprout appetizer is great! Lots of Korean influence across the menu. Also got the truffle fries(good truffle flavor),... pulled pork sandwich, and kimchi tacos. Was told to avoid the ramen by a friend since it wasn?t very authentic and allegedly hadsmaller portion. Read more
I went in to have a dinner. I ordered lettuce wrap and spicy Ramen with pork belly. Both dishes were very good and impressed but... little bit salty for me, however I had them all. Lol. Drinks was perfect. They use the good liquor with a real good price. Iwould be rate them 5 stars if my bartender/waiter just give some smile (or maybe just his character...I don't know) butstaff/restaurant should give customers a nice and relax vibe not make customer feel uncomfortable. Fantastic atmosphere and service. I have a new favorite place to go! We had brussel sprouts, kimchi fried rice, scallops,... risoto, and asparagus. All masterfully prepared. Also a great selection of beer on tap from mostly local breweries. Well doneXVault ???? Read more
Loved every minute of my time at The X Vault, and every drink- and believe me, my friends and I tried most of them ;) the crunch... funk sushi roll is highly recommended. Go on an empty stomach because you'll want to try everything. Start with the French onionsoup and make an afternoon of it from there. The service from the servers to the bar tenders is enough to make a regular out ofanyone. Read more
