The Idle Hour is an absolutely amazing gem. One of my favorite places in Lake Tahoe. We went there for a Bachelorette party this... past August and the wine tasting and cheese were great. Not to mention the ambiance is divine - super cute and warm, yet alsovery classy. Beautiful view of the lake, cute animals outside in their natural habitat, great indoor decor, cozy area inside (oroutside they also offered) to relax and enjoy our wine. Mary and Patty in particular went above and beyond to make our timethere extra special. They were so attentive, accommodating, friendly, had great recommendations, and their personalities justmade the experience even that much better. Can't wait to go back! Read more

Nice wine bar on the beach in South Lake Tahoe. Very casual and relaxing with a good selection of wines. They have an outside... shoreline patio on the lower level that is accessible via an elevator near the front with (check in with the hostessfirst). Only thing was there was a very foul smell from the shoreline when we were there. We were told it was fire/ashrelated. Read more

It?s great if you?re a big fan of wine because they have every kind with lots of selections. They also serve some beer and some... snacks. If there?s someone in your group that doesn?t/can?t enjoy wine or beer, they might not enjoy as much. Waiting lounge iscozy with couches to chill. There are two floors, upstairs and downstairs. First, the view. Incredible. It literally doesn't get any better. Second, the service. Very, very friendly. The best of Tahoe... spirit. Third, they serve wine flights and food. And it is delicious! Incredible wine collection with a even better outdoor seating space to lounge and catch a beautiful sunset while you relish your... favourite wines. Add to it a good selection of food bites, and a warm/friendly service makes this a must go place in the SouthLake Tahoe area.
