Attended a small birthday gathering of about 20 people last night. We had a cozy private room with 2 servers that were very kind... and attentive...... Blake and Claire. The Wedge salad was so tasty! All of the entrees looked good. I had the Filet.....it wasoutstanding! Cooked perfectly. Very nice place for a special occasion! Parking is tight so take care opening your door. Read more
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner in the tavern and everything was perfect! We had the wedge salad (best we?ve ever had),... calamari (which they made gluten free upon request), and I had the filet/hubs had short rib. Very nice. Way to dark. I could not read the menu very well. Print of the menu was too small. The dinner was good hot fresh. I... did not appreciate the female wait staff placing other peoples dinner in front of me instead of them going around the table. Ifound this very rude and unhygienic it put me off. My first time come in here it for my son birthday good place to hangout we have a good time everyone enjoy the food and the lady... that serve us she really nice. Ho the desert mango raspberry coconut ready good that my favorite. Will come back again. Read more
We got here at about 8:45 when the kitchen was going to close, rejected by the other three restaurants around...I had not been... to this place yet. Let me tell you staff service environment wonderful, thank you kitchen staff for making sure we didn't gohome hungry. The food was absolutely amazing I had the scallops and tenderloin tips, My company had the lobster pasta andshrimps. We ordered some really tasty drinks and we're able to not feel rushed at all. What a wonderful time I had and I'm superthankful for places like this that go the extra mile! And thank you Pam, our wonderful server for that evening! Read more
We celebrated our anniversary here last week, on a Thursday night. We had an amazing meal, in a quiet, unpretentious atmosphere.... Our filets were delicious, perfectly cooked, and we were able to swap out sides for the charred Brussels sprouts and garlicmashed potatoes with no issues. They had one of my absolute favorite beers from the Maine Brewing Co, "Lunch," on tap. Thisplace really gave us an un-improvable experience, and in this day of hit or miss dining out, staffing shortages, and COVID-19restrictions, I really must thank & commend the staff both FOH and BOH. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyonelooking for a splurge worthy dinner out!!! Read more
Wonderful food and service! We had an earlier reservation time so it was pretty quiet and cozy. Our server was great, food was... delicious, refined American with unexpected twists. Not a place to get huge portions, everything is thoughtfully crafted and wedidn't waste a bite! ???? Read more
I went to two Hopewell for a reception after a funeral for a family member and I was very impressed with the ambience of the... room, the food and the service. I also adored the fact that they opened up on a day that they're normally closed so that theycould provide refreshments to everyone who went to the funeral it was really thoughtful of them to do that. I highly recommendtheir food but in particular they did a short rib that blew my socks off! The risotto was quite good too! The service was justtop-notch they constantly came over and refreshed drinks, they were over the top sweet to the family members. I can't say enoughabout how great it was and I hope to go there for dinner in the future and order more of those short ribs! :-) Read more
