Candies Firehouse is the new name and the new owners have made this a top notch place to eat. We had subpar food in Pagosa... Springs all weekend and on our way home to Denver we searched up somewhere to eat and this place caught our eye. Well the foodwas impeccable, the service was the type of service you?d get back in the day! Everything is homemade from scratch including thedesserts. Candies is a great new restaurant in South Fork. I would say American comfort food, but elevated a notch. I had the street tacos... with fried green chili rings, there were amazing. Fast friendly service, I had the Bacon Chorizo Mac n cheese, my favorite item was what they call Eagle Eggs, be sure to order... them and a side of ranch, I could have just had them and been content. Went back next day, enjoyed the eagle eggs as my meal,my wife enjoyed the chicken sandwich minus the bun and friend enjoyed her Mac n cheese with broccoli. Read more
It was our first time going and it was the absolute best!!! Hands down the best place in all of Colorado to eat!!!! Just be... prepared the portions are generous so bring your appetite but you will NOT be disappointed the food was so delicious!!! Myfavorite burger is the mushroom Swiss burger and whenever I try somewhere new I always get my favorite thing to judge how I likethe place and let me tell you this was the BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Their twist on the traditional mushroom Swiss isDevine it really elevated the burger and now I will never be able to order it from anywhere else!!! My kiddos are normally kindof picky too especially going out to eat and they all said it was the best food they have ever eaten they even loved the friedpeppers which was a big surprise!!! My husband had the fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious but make sure you save roomfor the desert because OMG!!!! You can taste the quality in every bite we normally never order desert from anywhere but the foodwas so good we wanted to try it and it blew us away with how good it was!!!! Espresso cheesecake chocolate mousse lemonblueberry crumble and cinnamon bites that were far from bites they were all exquisite!!! The entire environment of therestaurant was so warm and welcoming and friendly everyone greeted us with smiles and as if we had been friends forever!!!! Ourwaitress was Courtney and she was so bubbly and friendly and sweet she actually engaged in conversation and didn?t make us feellike a bother instead we felt nothing but pure joy and fun from her she was the absolute best waitress we have ever had from anyestablishment!!! Never been disappointed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner have been amazing! It's a small town restaurant so they have trouble with... reliable staff, but even with that, they push to give you excellent service no matter their situation. You must try their eagleeggs!!! We will be back soon! Read more
