Great food. I got the chicken and ribs combo with green beans and a sweet potato. Excellent! My friend got ribs. She said they... were very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. I went off the reviews and I shouldn?t have. The sides are definitely better than the meat. By itself, the meat is flavorless... and the chicken is dry. You have to literally drown your meat in sauce for it to be palatable. The sauces are decent. The greensare decent, The cornbread and corn fritters were the most delicious thing in my honest opinion. Not sure who?s reviewing thefood but I?m convinced most people that live in this area have no sense of taste because this one of many restaurants that sentme completely off. Service was ok as well. If they?d throw some seasoning on their meat it would be phenomenal. Read more
After a 90 plus degree day in Daytona we were really wanting a refreshing salad bar for dinner. We contemplated a chain... restaurant on the way back home to Jacksonville but decided to go a little out of the way and try a local spot. We are so gladwe did too! We both got the all you can eat soup and salad bar with a meat. I had the pulled pork and it just might have beenthe best pulled pork I have ever had! The salad bar hit the spot as well. Everything was fresh and exactly what we were craving.Unfortunately, we won't be able to support this local BBQ restaurant regularly since we are about an hour and a half a way butyou can bet we will visiting anytime we are in Daytona though! We picked up food this afternoon so we could reheat and eat for a late dinner. We ordered a pint of Cole slaw (container was... half empty), half pound of dried sliced pork and a slab of baby ribs. With tip it was $44. What a colossal rip off!!! The porkwas so dry we couldn't eat it......would have been nice if the server gave us the sauce we asked for. The ribs were a hugedisappointment.......very small and dry. Crazy crazy crazy expensive and just awful. We have been customers here many times buttoday......idk what was going on there but it wasn't good. Would have liked to leave zero stars. Do yourselves a favor and go toSonny's. Read more
I really enjoy the unlimited meat special...and was somewhat disappointed to be told the other day that the beef brisket was no... longer available as part of that special. The ribs were followed with some awesome pulled pork and the baked potato was nearlyperfectly cooked. The roasted corn on the cob ???? is always a treat...but I really did miss my brisket fix as part of themix. Still a loyal fan... Read more
