This place has been on my list of places to check out in Charleston for quite a while, that said, the food did not... disappoint! The barbecue I got was delicious and my brother said the chicken and gravy was fantastic! The staff was super niceand brought everything out to the table and they have you not pay until the very end of your meal. The only thing keeping thisplace from five stars was when I used the restroom after being in the car for hours they were not very well kept. Kinda dirtyand no paper towels after washing hands. One of our favorite restaurants. They have awesome Ribs, Fried Chicken, pork chops and more, they have awesome Collard greens,... Mac and cheese and their Cole slaw and potato salad is fantastic. We also love their homemade desserts. They also do cateringand have a banquet room upstairs. Read more

This is fried? How many times?! Ordered the "Uncle Rennie's Special", fried bologna with sauce on the side, it was supposed to... come with pintos and cornbread. What we got is a bologna sandwich with the meat that looks like come out of a house fire, withchips and not pintos with cornbread. This bologna seriously looks like a dog pile. Great food! I stopped by there on the way to Thomas Memorial and got lunch with my mom. The special was Salisbury steak. The... gentleman at the counter was very friendly and quick. We both got the same thing: Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes & gravy,mac and cheese, and cornbread. We both loved it! We'll definitely be back. Read more

What an absolutely amazing lunch! This family business does it right! It was suggested we try the rib, brisket and chicken... combo with mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread.
