Reviews for Yellow Cat Cafe in South Bend, IN
Good food and reasonable prices. Service was great. They have over a hundred hot sauces to try. We had the German omelet (the... omelets are everything mixed into the eggs omelets), biscuits and gravy, waffle, bacon and toast. I would go again to try thesmoked pork chops, maybe those are five star. Not bad, Yellow Cat, not bad. Read more
Wow! This place is a well oiled machine! Quite busy, but don't let that deter you. Fast and super friendly service, excellent... bottomless coffee, and breakfast is served all day! Try the Belgian waffle, made from scratch. Highly recommend this place! Read more

Admittedly, a Sunday morning wasn't the absolute best time for us to go to a breakfast diner. The time it took from entering the... building to having food in front of us was like half an hour total. Being hungover as I was, I was growing frustrated with thewait. But as soon as that Irish skillet plate was set down in front of me, all that negativity became as dust in the wind. Itwas delicious. And reflecting back, I can absolutely see why it's so popular. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is as best asit can be, and the actual food is phenomenal. I do not care that the wait was immensely long, it was worth it. Next time I findmyself in South Bend, you best believe I'll be coming back. Read more
My first time here. My wife and daughter ate lunch here previously and suggested I give them a try. I usually have a heavy... breakfast so I decided that we go in the morning. (You will want to get here early for seating as there was a long line waitingas we left around 9:30.) My normal go-to breakfast place is The Original Pancake House on Ironwood and the menus are fairlysimilar so I was able to order what I would normally order (which is nice). The prices were also reasonable and about the sameas TOPH. The portions here seem to be a little bit more generous (I couldn?t finish). Staff is friendly and our server wasconstantly topping off our coffee. Our bill came to $28 and change which isn?t bad for feeding three people. My only complaintwas watching water drip from the ceiling vents and tiles. There is an area of ceiling tiles that are warped and showing signs ofwater damage which indicate this has been an issue for awhile but hasn?t been fixed. Restaurants should be on top of issues likethis because leaking water pipes, leaky roofs, etc. equate to potential mold that could lead to health problems for its staffand customers. This is the reason why I gave them 4/5 stars. If I go back and see the problem is resolved, I may change myrating to a 5. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. The food was delicious and the decor was whimsical. A must try. Read more
