Awesome garden setting. Delicious food. Bill for 2 of us [2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of wine and 2 draft... beers] $100 plus 20% tip (good service). After 6pm plan on long sleeves and long pants and mosquito repellent for your head.Great experience overall. Recommend. Read more
The Carriage House is a hidden gem in the north Indiana/South Michigan area! The food was genuinely spectacular and the service... was extremely high-quality; professional but friendly. This is a great place to chill and eat authentic, genuinely wonderfulcuisine. The location features beautiful scenery that gives off refined European vibes. For fine dining in South Bend Carriage House cannot be topped. The food and service was outstanding. The menu changes regularly... so every visit will be a new experience. There is outdoor seating available when the weather permits. Plenty of parking. Read more
We wish we could rate this place higher! It is an iconic tradition, our family has attended many times in the past. However, we... arrived at 6:50 for a 6:45 reservation and were greeted with hesitant faces. We sat and it took 25 minutes before anyone askedus if we wanted a drink. We were, served our first two courses in 3,5 hours, left at 10:145 pm, had not been served our maincourse yet, wish. We could say better because the food for first 2 cources tasted amazing! Read more
This place is absolutely gorgeous!! We were there close to sunset and was able to the enjoy the views in the day and at night... with the lights that make the garden come alive for that fairytale feeling. The food is so phenomenal, the Chefs Special shrimpwas the best I?ve ever had, I?ll probably crave it for ever! Everything was wonderful and we tried a lot! The drinks were alsodelicious, not over powering and had the perfect end of summer taste, I highly recommend this place and if you can go an hourbefore sunset, do it! Overall, lackluster. The grounds are beautiful but the service was really sub-par. It took about 20 minutes to get our first... drink after we sat down, and likely only because I was eye ballin the server by that point. Our starter, the burrata beet saladwas 90% beets, and our mains took another 40 minutes.. and they weren?t worth the wait. It wasn?t busy, and there appeared to beone server? It looked like the bartender left at one point. The mosquitos were voracious and it got super dark super quick, itwas hard to see my dinner partner and entree. Overall, we were looking forward to the night but it was lackluster. By the end,we couldn?t wait to get the check. I think the spot has potential, but not as is. Read more
