Reviews for Lasalle Kitchen & Tavern in South Bend, IN
The food and menu options are amazing. The staff is very friendly and go above and beyond. My favorite about this place is the... atmosphere. It's a great place to go relax, eat great food, and have good conversation. I would highly recommend if you are nthe area visiting to check it out. You won't be disappointed! Read more
Service was good. Food was a little disappointing. Under seasoned and dry shrimp scampi, bruschetta bread soggy. Bread pudding... was decent. Nice place, food quality doesn’t match price. Live Music was great but VERY loud - had to yell for the personbeside me for them to hear anything I said. Read more
Put this place on Bar Rescue ASAP! Tavern not the grille: Standard menu items but bizarre flavors. I would also expect a much... bigger menu with more options for a pub / sports bar type of place. Great live music but that’s really all it’s got going.Food and vibe is subpar at best. Wings were disgusting - rubbery and drenched in sauce. My feta / cranberry salad would havebeen good if it wasn’t ruined by the gross Dijon mustard - it was such an odd pairing and it totally messed up the flavor. Read more
I had the honeymoon baby cider, bruschetta, and creme Brulee and all of it was very excellent. I enjoyed the steampunk aesthetic... vibe. Read more
Last night we stopped in for dinner after an art show. It was our first time visiting LaSalle Kitchen and it was fantastic! The... atmosphere is warm, inviting and casual. Our server was sweet and very efficient. We ordered wine and a starter of green beanfries, perfectly prepared with a crispy seasoned coating and tender inside. For our dinner we both chose the Johnny B. Goudahamburger with French fries that was juicy and delicious with that nicely melted cheese on top. Wow! There was aguitarist/singing duo performing music in the background which added to the upbeat atmosphere. We definitely look forward toour next visit here soon!! Read more
South African cuisine, I'm butchering the descriptions and it deserves tons of credit. The 5 courses were all great, but the... ostrich and grilled antelope were rare, juicy and just phenomenal. By the time the malva pudding came, I was stuffed. Highlyrecommend, the service was top shelf and I would certainly come back for a special occasion Read more

Have gone quite few times over the years. It's usually pretty busy being that it is so close to the Morris. The wait staff is... always hustling, but this place can get so packed, it's pretty common for the wait staff to be over matched. Food is expensive, but delicious, especially the burgers. The bar menu is limited, but you can order from the LaSalle Grill menu, which has a lotmore options. But again, expensive. Cocktails and beer are a highlight. Every cocktail we get is on point, quiteimpressive. We frequently get Brian as our waiter. The guy is killer. Great tips on the food and beer, He does a great jobkeeping in touch with how good the kitchen is doing on what dishes. Dude was going hard the entire time. However, it can take awhile to get your food. Fortunately, the place is a cool place to hang out, and the live music is usually strong. So if youaren't expecting to get in and out real quick, the wait on food is manageable. Read more
