Reviews for Ho Ping House in South Bend, IN
I will never go back here again. Had a $61 carry out order that included the Coconut Shrimp and the General Tso?s Chicken. Get... home after an 18 minute drive only to realize there?s zero rice for either of those orders. And this is not the first time thishas happened. Last time I got home only to find out there was no coconut sauce for the Coconut Shrimp! Never again. Read more
Probably the best Chinese restaurant I?ve ever been to. Definitely the best in South Bend/Mishawaka. Make sure you get the... family dinner. It comes with an egg roll, crab Rangoon (so good) and 2 pieces of shrimp toast which I had never had before whichwas great. Their Mongolian beef is the way to go. It was perfectly tender and delicious! Read more
Great Service Good place for Asian authenticity Prices not bad Most expensive plate would be 23 Dollars Spen 63 with taxes
The food was pretty okay, but imo not as good as the price point. It was tasty, the service was good, but pretty sure I won't... go back any time soon. Had the coconut shrimp. Broccoli was cold and didn't have much flavor, but the shrimp themselves andthe sauce were awesome. Had a shrimp toast appetizer and it was just... Off somehow, in a way I can't qualify. Spousal unithad something with chicken and shrimp that looked about 85% diced onion and not all that appetizing, but to each their own. Ifmoney is no object, it's probably really solid. I am just a little too penny-pinchy for it, I think. Read more
Had a generally good experience, though not perfect. The hot and sour soup was rather bland. Luckily, the egg roll was pretty... good (watch out for how hot the Chinese mustard they give on the side is!), and szechuan chicken with peanuts had a good amountof flavor. Fried rice was basic but that works well as a side like it was here. Gets a 4 since the price was pretty good forwhat I got. Read more

Great Chinese place. Out of Tsing Tao but had Lucky Buddha, better. Food was great and hot. Flavors were good but not really... spicy. During were very traditional, Dragon Meets Phoenix was good if a tad sweet. Yes, real lobster bits. Read more
