Reviews for Chimichurri - Argentinean Food in South Bend, IN
When you are an Argentinian living thousand of miles away from home and you see a place call “Chimichurri” you think of... steak. Their stake sandwich is not what I had in mind when I saw it. It doesn’t have much steak at all. It’s more likelittle pieces of beef mixed with onions and peppers. I was expecting something similar to a “lomito”. So that wasdisappointing. On the other hand, the beef empanadas were really, really good. A little smaller on their size, but amazingtaste. Los “alfajores de maicena” were a nice touch. The chimichurri sauce super tasty. I only got empanadas when I stopped by, but they took only 5 minutes, and although they were more than I usually pay, they were... great. They had an excellent crunch on the outside without being hard, and the flavor was vey rich. Read more
I had caprese and beef empanadas. Both were amazing. Also had a steak chimichurri sandwich, also amazing. On top of all that... took 6 alfajores home. First time coming here, will definitely be back when I'm in South Bend. Read more
Delicious sandwich. Only objection is the fact that there is barely any actual steak. They shouldnt call it “ Chimi steak... sandwich” if the steak is not the main ingredient. I felt i was eating flavored bread, almost. Read more
Definitely better than Culver's or other fast food (excluding shake shak). I especially appreciate a nice deck. It looks cute... and cozy. I think I would improve my review if the vegetables were more tasty in my steak chimichurri. Read more
It's a very cute and affordable sandwich shack. I really appreciate how the woman inside took the time to carefully make each... sandwich with love. They also have a very attractive deck with picnic seating. The sandwich itself was above average. I'mlooking forward to checking out their empanadas next time. Read more
My first restaurant in the area and was blown away by the amazing service and food quality! First, I didn’t have my wallet on... me and their machine doesn’t accept ApplePay, so the owner still offered to provide me with my almost $18 order and to pay thefollowing the day (I came back and paid)! I’ve never heard of such trust, so I’m definitely going to become a frequentcustomer. In terms of food, I enjoyed their sandwich! I recommend ordering half and half to try the chicken and steak! Try outtheir dumplings as well, it’s worth the slightly high price. Read more
Really pleased to have eaten here this weekend. Beef empanada was unlike anything I've ever had. The sandwiches are delicious... and the chimichurri was yummy on them. We arrived early and were told the staff would bring our food to us. No frills and justgreat food. Read more
