Reviews for Caruso brick oven Trattoria in Souderton, PA
$17 for chicken parm, I would expect the whole piece of chicken to actually have mozzarella on it. Super disappointing. I?ve had... better chicken parm for less money. The salad I paid an extra $4 for had the most stale croutons I?ve ever had. Thought I wasgoing to break my teeth trying to chew them. Will never order from here again. Read more
Visited for dinner on my birthday last week on a Wednesday night. Did not seem busy there however we were very dissatisfied. ... Both meals were cold and looked like they had been plated many hours before delivery to our table. Our server Paige was veryattentive but that did not make up for a very disappointing experience. When we gave feedback we were given a small gift cardfor future visit. Honestly the meal should have been comped it was that bad. Can't recall a more disappointing meal out. It'spretty bad when you don't even want to go back to use the gift card. Read more
Great local family owned real Italian restaurant with delicious and freshly prepared food favorites and genuinely friendly... customer service. Our server Paige was awesome! She was very cheerful, obliging and happy to help and provided us with his greatservice. Sadad the hostess was very friendly and he smiled, greeted, and seated us immediately. Maria the lead associate wasalso very nice. They offer a balanced menu and everything that moves around you looks and smells so good. For a appetizer, wehad fried Calamari with Vodka Sauce which was lightly breaded and fried to perfection. For an entree, we shared a MargaritaPizza and Cesar Side Salad which was coupled with Fresh Baked Bread with Olive Oil and Pesto. i. Their Freshly Prepared BakedBread with Parmesan Cheese and other Italian Seasoning, coupled with perfectly made Mariana Sauce is to die for! We also had afreshly prepared Cesar Salad. We were to full to eat any of their delicious looking desert items. All of their portions were theappropriate size so come hungry and definitely request Paige as your server even if you have to wait! They have cute littlebathrooms which cool decor which they keep clean! The entire staff including the Kitchen Crew greeted us goodbye as wedeparted. In closing, we always share our meals so we have two opinions about any particular dish and our empty platesessentially tell the story. I will say I hate and think food in this area is absolutely terrible BUT Caruso?s was awesome. My entire family raved about... their dinners and the staff was wonderful. True Italian food and great size portions, better than most of the food we have hadtraveling to Italy. Definitely worth stopping in! We will be back. Read more
Solid BYOB Italian spot a few minutes walk from my home, featuring the best pizza in the area. Anyone with a palate around here... knows it's incredibly difficult to find a really good slice of pizza anywhere reasonably close by. Caruso's offering is ofcourse wood fired but solid. The gnocchi with crabmeat dish is always the go to but several other plates are worth a try aswell. The bread and oil pre-meal is great stuff and always a highlight. "Basement" seating is a pretty cool space. My onlycomplaint is that I've tired of the menu - with the endless possibilities Italian cuisine offers, I wish this place would changeup their menu more often, if ever. I would certainly be here with greater frequency if so. Read more
