Our Server was really attentive and cheery. Nothing else was acceptable. Meat portion was definitely sufficient but parts were... burnt - parts were under cooked. About 20 years ago I drove from Calgary to Vancouver and had some weird vertigo-in-ear-imbalance thing, happen to me. I pulled... over many times, trying to gain some sense of normality. I could not make it and had to pull over to some side road - Texaschain saw massacre - Bates motel establishment. I also had to feed the kids. The only place available was this place. All Iremember was the soup and pie. I had chicken noodle and pecan pie. I have no clue what I ordered for the kids. All I know isthat it stuck with me. Fast forward… and I can not come back to Calgary without stopping in here. The service and food arejust amazing and guess where we are headed tomorrow!!! Want to rate this 3 1/2 actually, as the food itself is fine, but if you are in a hurry, don’t eat here. The servers were... efficient and friendly, and although not even half full, the two could barely cope with the guests. We waited about 40 minutesafter orders were taken. Coffee fill-ups had to be asked for, and by the time the 4 breakfasts came, the toasts were all cold.The food is plentiful and tasty, and the price reflects the portions. It is hard getting and keeping food industry staff thesedays, so don’t expect the ‘good old days’. A reliable and convenient place nonetheless. Read more

The food looked good but they forgot about me on the deck …. Hard to eat soup and salad without utensils ….. the girls tried... to make it right so they get points for that but at the end of the day the cold soup and room temperature fries were not a hit . I am going to go order lunch in Kamloops ….can you get botulism or salmonella from rotting lettuce ? I did try the saladbut alas this was also a fail! Read more
The view is amazing and the food delicious! The service is impeccable. I wish I could have taken a pie with me but they need 24... hrs to prepare one for takeout. Dinner for 3 adults was $55 which included 2 burger meals with a mountain of fries and a seniorsize spaghetti with meatballs. One glass of merlot, pop and 2 coffees to drink and a piece of chocolate cream pie. We were allsatisfied! Read more
Sadly I have given this place a try a few times with the thought things will be better…..wrong! Service is extremely slow,... have to ask for refills and that is very slow, the waitress is clueless when it comes to menu or what pies they have. I orderedthe loaded burger with fries the waitress asked if it was with cheese or no cheese I said it comes with cheese, bacon andmushrooms that is what I want….the burger came out with just CHEESE!!!! The wait for the burger was long and like hell I wasgoing to wait longer when the bill came she tried to charge me for a loaded burger instead of a cheese burger. When asked forthe manager to discuss this and other visits I was told that Brad was only there in the mornings at 7 am for about 30 minutesthen he was gone. When I said how does one manage a restaurant in that little time and was told he doesn’t. Sounds like hedoesn’t like his role and maybe someone should be hired that does. I won’t be back again.
