We were left feeling very disappointed and underwhelmed with the service and food. We are very surprised at the high reviews and... this was not accurate to our experience. My husband got the fish and chips while I had the chicken club sandwich with a side ofclam chowder. The chips were overcooked and stale, while the club sandwich fell flat especially with the ciabatta bun, and theclam chowder needed more seasoning. Our family decided to come her for dinner recently. They all had the prawn fettuccine and I had the fish and chips. Even though... the food tasted ok , the fish was overly battered and the fettuccine had a weird taste to it most likely because of the olivesin there. Had an early dinner there today. It?s prime rib Sunday and and it goes fast, and it?s Mother?s Day so they handled the families... very well. I don?t eat a lot of red meat but my partner does and he really likes the prime rib. Quality cut of meat. I ordersalmon and it?s always great, but today I ordered the Cobb salad. After reading the good reviews, we were disappointed. The lamb was good, but the salmon was dry and the soup was a mediocre... tandoori tomato soup (sounds better than it tastes). Maybe my expectations were too high, but I really thought we would havesome awesome meals, especially for $25 to $30 each. Read more
This place is ridiculously good. Service was phenomenal and food was beyond expectations. Some of the freshest and most well... prepared mussels we've ever had and the chicken + goat cheese baguette (pictured) was to die for. Fries were clearly made toorder and very crispy. Came for dinner as it was listed as one of the top restaurants in Sooke. Our server was great, friendly and they were... sanitizing/cleaning up before seating any new guests. For the food, appetizers with the mussels and rolls were tasty. Howeverfor the main course the lamb chops were disappointingly small and the burger patty was slightly over cooked, I expect better forthe price. Read more
