The Smoke Shop is awesome! I've eaten BBQ at famous places in TX, TN, and NC and the food here is the best I've had. In... addition, the atmosphere is great and the staff is incredible. They genuinely care about their customers and the servicehonestly can't be beat. Their motto is that hospitality is as important as great food and they deliver both! I attended a BBQclass there last weekend and it blew away my expectations. Andy is an amazing chef and teacher! I highly recommend it and I willdefinitely be back for more classes. I simply can't say enough good things about this place! It's my new favorite restaurant byfar! Read more

I hosted my husband's birthday celebration at Smoke Shop BBQ (Assembly) and ordered the family style 25lb whole hog dinner and... IT WAS AMAZING ???? Crackling crispy skin covered the amazingly tender pork. None of it went to waste. On top of that, the staffand service was excellent. The whole group couldn't stop raving about how great of an experience this was. Highly recommend ???? Read more

Thank you for a spectacular dinner Chef Andy! The place was packed with smiles and good food all around. Service was prompt (20... minutes) and waitstaff was super attentive. Two of us got the weekly special big beef rib (only available on Friday andSaturday) which comes with two sides and the pit boss which comes with your choice of three meats and three sides. Oh my god,if you’ve never had a smoked big beef rib, you’re missing out! These are an EXPERIENCE! The meat is so tender that itliterally just falls off the bone and the flavors and juices are just unbelievable. Loved the coleslaw, it was finely chopped upjust the way I like it and nicely! Bacon collards were the best we’ve ever had! Made with just enough sweetness and tang todeliver a soul filling experience with every bite. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly crispy and delicious, tossed in an OldBay like seasoning. For Pit Boss #1, we chose brisket, 1st place ribs (pork) and wings. The brisket was definitely the winnerfor the meats, it just melted in your mouth! The ribs were so tender and smokey, the meat slid right off the bone. The wingswere pretty good and tasty, couldn’t decide between the famous wings or the hot wings so we got both. Definitely LOVED the hotwings. The Texas toast was nicely buttered with garlic. What an amazing dinner, we all left with full bellies, and talk ofcoming back soon. Thank you again Chef Andy! ???? Read more

We don’t often seek out barbecue dining experiences, but Oh. My. Goodness was this one worth it. During our short trip to... Boston, The Smoke Shop BBQ popped up in a “must-try” list of restaurants we found; when we decided to give it a whirl, wewere not disappointed in the slightest! We began our experience with New England’s original, Harpoon IPA, as well as thePomegranate Sangria, and were absolutely delighted with both! We didn’t start with any appetizers, but are glad we didn’t,as our meals were plenty filling all on their own. To eat, we got the fried chicken basket with pimento Mac and cheese and Texastoast, as well as the Texas-style brisket plate with pimento mac and cheese, sweet & spicy coleslaw, and cornbread. The chickenwas seasoned wonderfully, the brisket was some of the most tender and flavorful we’ve ever had, and the pimento mac and cheesewas ICONIC. Additionally, we thought the plating garnishments and overall vibe of the restaurant was super fitting! Each tablewas also equipped with three bottles of The Smoke Shop’s award-winning sauces: Sweet Victory BBQ, Hot Streak BBQ, and GoldMedal BBQ. Our favorite was the Gold Medal sauce, as we found it to be a nice mixture of authentic barbecue flavors with a nicetangy sweetness. The restaurant is in a prime spot for exploring too, so if you’re looking to walk around a bit after yourmeal, the Assembly Row location is perfect for you! Read more

So my buddy and I went here on a whim after having a craving for some brisket. Here are our findings: Pros - the fat cap on the... brisket was amazing. The pork belly burnt ends were amazing in flavor. The pickles/jalapenos are quite tasty. The coleslaw has aslight kick and is well worth it. Finally, the pulled pork has a solid taste. Cons - the baked beans. They were watery andheavy on vinegar or something? They were not good. The brisket - it was tough and needed a knife. Usually brisket should pullapart with a knife. The cornbread - I'm not sure what they put on top but it was more a sweet corn cake than cornbread. Thesauces - the mustard base sauce was fantastic. The spicy one was very watery and their house sauce left a lot to bedesired. Overall - if I'm in the area I might stop in just to try other items, and get the pork belly burnt ends. Their drinkselection was solid too but the BBQ left a lot to be desired. Read more
