Fabulous food and great service in a wonderful open space. Dinner is great. And the pancake for brunch can satisfy two people... and is sublime! ?????? Read more

La Brasa Wedding - We fell in love with La Brasa over their chips and guacamole. We had visited several other potential venues,... but none compared to the cool, intimate vibe at La Brasa. We worked with Katelyn over the last 12 months to plan everything forthe big day. Katelyn was kind, patient, and very knowledgable. She met with us over the phone, in person, and responded to many, many emails from us. Without having an event planner, there was a lot for my fiance and I to figure out, but Katelyn always hadgreat ideas and gave us time to make decisions. Katelyn was also there to guide us through the rehearsal, which greatly calmedmy nerves! On the day of Katelyn was responsive and got everyone where they needed to be. She worked with my friends to set upthe space and our DJ to keep everything on track. The staff at La Brasa were excellent (as always)! The wait staff and bartenders were attentive and gracious. The kitchen knocked it out of the park with the food! Matthias took over at the end of thenight and was also a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to go back and reminisce. We absolutely would recommend this venue foranyone planning an intimate and heart-felt Somerville wedding. Read more

Unimpressed overall by the experience at this restaurant. They charge $25 a person if you miss your reservation, yet the quality... does not match that specific demand, or the price they charge for their food. This is probably why the place was relativelyempty at prime dinner time on a Friday. The quesadilla was mediocre, not really sure what they were going for with theingredients, but it did not work. The roasted chicken was bland. The chuleta was the best entrée we had, it was covered in avery good sauce over a tasty puree, however, it was overcooked, although the sauce covered much of the dryness. The margarites, the appetizers, and the sides we had were all good. The staff was also friendly and attentive, and the place has a decentatmosphere, which is why they got 3 stars instead of 2. Food was excellent! The Bronzino, handmade blue corn tortillas, elote, & cocktails we ordered (spicy mezcal margarita & Oaxacan... old fashioned) hit the spot. Good quality, a bit pricey, but definitely expected that coming in. It is worth it! Read more

This was an A++ experience. The staff were so kind and the food was superb! We didn't realize we had stayed past closing but... they didn't fret. We felt terrible but regardless, the ambience, flavors, and overall aura of excellence was trulymemorable!! Our waitress was a gem and so kind to us. Plus she had really stylish rings. The halibut dish was PERFECTION. Read more
