Tried Koshari Mama for the first time last weekend, and I haven't stopped thinking about it! The space is really cute and the... staff is super friendly. We got the just eggplant, mushroom shawerma, falafel platter, and chicken sandwich (not pictured).Everything was so delicious and I can't recommend it enough! :) Some of the best vegan food in the area! This is a new Egyptian/Lebanese place in Somerville. Nice, colorful decor. Very clean, playing Egyptian music in the background.... Super friendly staff. Eggplant fries appetizer was hot and delicious. My foule plate looked great but was actually rather bland.They need to spice it up or get some hot sauce on the side. Delicious food, very cute interior, very nice service. I love this spot and wish I lived closer so I could get it all the time.... Everything is great, but I really recommend the Koshari, and the "chicken" sandwich. INCREDIBLE. The photos are the falafel, andthe Kofta Pane (which is made with Impossible). Not anything on the menu I would refuse though, and you have to get dessert too,don't skip it! Read more
Food is expensive, portions small. I ordered the mushroom shawarma and kabe kofta; $46. Mushroom shawarma is okay, very... garlicky sauce. Rice was dry and over cooked. The kabe kofta is impossible meat battered and deep fried. For $20 I wasexpecting an entree, not an appetizer. The restaurant is understaffed. Sweet ladies, but the ratio of staff to customer fordinner service meant the waitstaff was overworked. Read more
