I have never had Turkish food before. It was yummy and such a quaint place. I love small spaces like that. It makes for better... dining as its not too noisey. Loved that the one dish is called Su Borek. Read more

A very authentic place that reminds me of the good memories I had during my recent trip to Turkey. It?s a quiet restaurant, but... full of flavor and joy. Food was delicious and exotic. Highly recommending to come here for brunch or dinner. Read more

Adana kebab was among the worst I've ever had and for some reason, super thin. The rice also didn't taste good. No spices on... anything either. Not sure if they were rushed or this is their normal quality but I won't be ordering again to find out. Read more

Breakfast indoors was relaxed and the food delicious. I had the "Plate of Turkish Morning" for the sake of variety. It was... delicious and reasonably priced considering the quantity and quality. The menu offers plenty of options so you're going to findsomething to your liking. Read more

I love this restaurant. It has such a feel-good air. The Turkish interior is beautiful, the service is wonderful, and the food... is delicious. As a tea-lover, I also recommend the Turkish tea here. Oh, and Turkish music is played every so often; sometimesAmerican music is played, but I prefer it when Turkish music is played. It makes one feel as though they are in an ordinary partof Istanbul, where everyday, life is beautiful, and life is life. I just like the ambience here. It's my peaceful, lovelyretreat. Read more

Istanbul?lu is a cozy Turkish spot in Somerville that we tried this weekend and enjoyed. The Pohca was great - the dough was... perfectly soft & delicious. Another order I loved was the Iskender Doner , which is a classic turkish dish served with donermeat over yogurt, tomato sauce, & crispy pita bread. Lastly, as an eggplant lover I enjoyed the Firinda Patlican. It hits home???? I wish I can tell you how the Kunafa is but every time I come here they happen to be out. So I go to Ali Baba in South End???? Read more

Very tasty food. The meat was very tender and the spices were well balanced. The ambiance was laid back with a lot of... traditional Turkish decorations and music. I did think the price was a little higher than I am used to seeing in the area forthe portion size and type of food, but the food did taste good. Read more
