Went to Daddy Jones tonight for dinner. The vibe when you walk in is casual with a great music playlist - perfect for you and... some friends. We started off with the spanakopita (delicious btw!) and their Sweet potato fries that were tossed in honey andtopped with feta cheese. Would’ve never thought that combination would work but it was DELICIOUS! The highlight of the meal, however, was ordering RJ’s chicken sandwich which is tossed in honey buffalo sauce, topped with bacon, and a great aioli aswell. The chicken was crispy and the flavors were great. Definitely a must get item if you come here. And to make it better wegot to talk to RJ himself! You can tell he put a lot of thought and love into the recipe! Would highly recommend coming for anice night out 10/10 Read more

First time here after eyeing the place for years! LOVED the outdoor patio area. The vibes were great out there. Think the... cocktails were a little small for the price and I think I probably should have gone with another option besides the hamburger, but no regrets! Would come back. Read more

Overall impression is that the owners are trying to up-charge and under-staff what could otherwise be a good little Greek... restaurant or a Cambridge cocktail bar but is an odd, over-priced mix of both. We sat on the patio, which was lovely butinvolved serve-yourself water, napkins, and cutlery - an instant red flag that owners are stretching servers too thin. I got the"And So It BeGins" cocktail and my friend got the "Lady Guava" and both were good but quite small for the $14 price. I had the$14 chicken souvlaki "loaded," which apparently meant adding $2 for cucumber and stuff that just belongs on there to begin with. And the menu says "choose your side," which to me makes it sound like a side is included (and would have justified the price)but the sides were all extra. My friend got the burger that has bacon on it and comes on some kind of cinnamon English muffinwith a side of fries and ketchup packets for I think $18. Everything was good, I just felt like we should be paying half theprice and getting it at a food truck. I was curious about the baklava cheesecake but not curious enough to stay. We went acrossthe street for another round of drinks before calling it a night. Read more

Cocktails are delicious and the patio space is great in the summer. Inside it's funky/eclectic but everyone on staff is... extremely friendly. I really appreciate the handheld POS devices, hopefully this catches on so when you settle up, your creditcard never has to leave your table again. As for the food, I loved the spanikopita. The bacon-wrapped dates were better thanthe ones we had at our wedding. The "DJ Threeway" dip is also a great choice for sharing. Need to try the gyros next visit. Read more

I saw Daddy Jones Bar featured on Food Network and now that I come up to the Boston area relatively regularly, I knew I had to... give this place a shot. The location is nice. It is a relatively small bar with street parking. Lots of people inside andseemed like a fairly young crowd. Aside from seating at the bar itself, there are several tables (high tops), making foradequate seating. Their signature burger, the one featured, is the Chris Burger. It is a spicy burger with spicy mayo,Siraccha, bacon, pickle and cheddar on an English muffin. Sounded just like what I was in the mood for. I ordered the burger.... when it came out it looked and smelled delicious. The fries were seasoned nicely, and the burger obviously had a nice charon it. I grabbed the burger, took a bite, and was all smiles .... it was awesome! It's what I like from a burger, hot, charred, well seasoned and the juices dripped down my hand. My only "critique" is that the English muffin was very lightly toasted (maybejust put on the grill), and could have used a little longer time being "toasted". This bar appears to have a Greek influenceand the menu reflects that. They offer gyros, other burgers and other selections as well as dessert. I am a big fan of gyros, soI'd like to give them a try too. Read more

Honestly have been looking forward to trying this place. 3 stars because the garden patio is amazing and provides a great vibe... for relaxing. However, the “large Greek salad” was such a food disappointment, I added avocado for $3 extra and received 6cubes of an avocado.. you can literally buy an entire avocado for $2. Anyways the Greek salad I was figuring would be tavernastyle with cucumbers, peppers, and onions, with a big piece of feta.. nope $13 for a cucumber “salad”. I was so disappointedand pretty upset I spent $16 on 2 cucumbers and a quarter of an avocado. The gyro we also ordered was cheaper and that has meatin it, and with the meat prices right now that says enough. Next was the online ordering. We understand making it moreconvenient for the servers, but we weren’t able to customize any order. We also ordered the gyro and saw other people get itas well, only theirs came with a side salad and fries. We never saw that option. Another downfall of the online ordering was wenever got to see the info on the alcohol, we had to individually Google each draft beer for tasting notes and abv/percentages.Same with the wine, we love Greek wine but would like more info on it rather than “similar to a Sauvignon blanc” Overallwasn’t a good experience but wasn’t a bad experience, and I don’t know if I would return. Pictured is the “large Greeksalad” it was so small for $13, you can see the bottom of the take out basket Read more
