Came up the street, since the chain restaurant had a 20 - 30 minute wait. So GLAD we did!!! Loved going back in time, our... waitress was extremely helpful, we were amazed by the portions and the prices are VERY family friendly. If you plan on making a trip ANYWHERE near Somerset, I would make arrangements based on Summit Diner's schedule. ???? I'm sure... there will ALWAYS be a short wait but the staff is THE MOST EFFICIENT I HAVE EVER SEEN. And the food is SO DELICIOUS. Everythingis homemade, right down to their meringue pies. If I EVER find myself anywhere nearby, I will make sure I have time to stop atthis AMAZING RESTAURANT. The ONLY complaint I can think of, is having entirely too many delicious options on the menu. This was our first visit to the diner and we really enjoyed it! It has really cool, old school vibes. All the food was good,... the fried pickles were delicious! My only complaint is that they don't accept a card, cash only. Still worth a visit if you arein the area. Read more
Classic dinner with fine service, pleasant atmosphere, and true family cooking. Really a nice place for breakfast.
Okay. The bad first. This place loses a star for making you wait outside for them to tell you a table is ready ? in July ? in 95... degree weather. I can?t tell if this is a COVID hangover or what but. Also this is a CASH ONLY establishment and it closes at 3pm everyday. BTW, the diner across the street opens at 4 everyday ? common ownership ????. Otherwise the chili was good.Tomatoe-y. First thing you smell is the green peppers but they don?t overwhelm the flavor. The club sandwich was great andstuffed. You can choose Turkey or Ham. I didn?t ask if you can have both but I?m sure you can. The pizza burger was so-so. Theyneed to use thicker cuts of pepperoni otherwise they just get sloppy. Fries are great. $32 for lunch for two. Not bad. Read more

I ordered the meatloaf sandwich. It was fine and the portion size was huge for the price. Sorry about the photo, I was in the... middle of eating it when I remember to take a photo. I really wish I had room to enjoy a dessert because it all seemeddelicious. Everything was very low cost which was nice. Read more
Just from looking at the outside you can tell this place slaps. Nothing better than a good greasy diner. From the atmosphere,... jukebox , neon lights, booths and friendly staff I?d give this place a 10/10. Food came out quick and was cheap and delicious. Read more
