Really cool old house that was converted into a restaurant. The wife and I were so lucky to have found this and completely LOVED... it! The team members were super friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend it if you're in the area! Read more

The place smelled amazing, we only stopped for a small lunch, but we were nearly convinced to gorge ourselves by the smell and... the appearance of the food. I had the bratwurst and it was fantastic, I stole a few of my buddies fries and they are among thebest fries I've ever had. Service was good and it had great ambience. Read more

I really like this place. I've always had good food, which is what it's about. As the name indicated, this is a historic... building with an antique atmosphere in decor. German heritage is all over town and this is part of the Zane's Trace. It has abar downstairs and my favorite part (beside food) is the old fireplace. It's endured and gotten more popular over the years. During some seasons you are far off in another room and you don't even see the fireplace. But it never feels big, more of a backroom comfort space. It's not over priced, but what you would expect for a mid-Ohio steak, chicken or pork. Portions are sizablewith the intent to fill you up. Menu is farmland compatible. It's not fancy, so you can wear hiking clothes if you want. If yourconversation is quiet, there are plenty of items to view. Customer service has been good whenever I'm there which are usuallybusy times. Most know the history and are glad to share if you ask. Several printed sources are available as well. Interestinglittle town if you enjoy early American history. A walk around the block is educational to say the least. Read more

Service was great and the Chicken dinner was huge! They seated our group in the room to the right off the entry and the room... definitely needs work! Part of the ceiling was coming down and the plaster on the walls was all cracked. Read more

The food is good. The building is great. The bar was cool. But didn't see any ghosts. A very old building with a little history.
