The food was pretty good, the staff was very nice and friendly, overall not too bad. The only drawback was that when it gets... busy there's no ordering take out. Just as well, because there was a fantastic Thai restaurant about 10 minutes away Read more

Horrible place. Asked to substitute fries for onion rings. Was told they couldn't do that but we could order a side of onion... rings. My wife declined & told the waiter she would just have the hamburger only. Got the bill & was still charged for the friesthat we never wanted nor got! When brought up at the register they said it didn't matter. During dinner we asked for honeymustard and he brought out yellow mustard! Food sucked, service sucked & so does the management! We will never go back! Waybetter options around! Read more

We were a party of 7 with two small kids around noon on a busy Saturday at the Jersey Shore. There was a line outside, but the... wait was short. We were seated at a large booth which easily accommodated us all. I was very impressed with the service.Considering how busy it was, our server didn't seem flustered at all. She took our order and smiled at the kids. My wife orderedcrab cakes - always iffy - and I ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer. The kids split an order of pancakes. The food camequickly and was really, really good. Even the crab cakes! My appetizer portion was big enough for a whole meal. The kids gobbleddown the pancakes and turkey bacon so they must have been good, too. If you're ever in Ocean City, NJ the Point Diner won'tdisappoint for the entire family. Read more

Clean, looks nice. Home fries were under cooked, hard. Cup sizes too small for what they charge. Chocolate milk was just... milk & light chocolate syrup (not enough - milk still white even when you stirred it) pancakes too fluffy, tasted funny. Boothsare tight (especially if you are not skinny) & prices are not cheap (spent $60 for 3 people to eat & most of it was not eatenbecause of the tastes) - not great but not horrible , disappointing Read more

A classic NJ-style dinner. I was standing in the entrance looking at the Ms. Pac-man machine, and for a second, I felt it was... 1984 all over again. I was greeted at the door by a friendly woman I took to be one of the owners. The service was excellent. The menu had everything you would expect in such a place. I ordered a Gyro and fries. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give themeal a six?still a nice little place. Read more

The Menu That Raised me, there is nothing that isn't awesome! BEST french onion soup! .Crystal gave excellent service and the... counter had a vip spot ready and waiting ....just so I could go nuts staring at peanut butter , apple and lemon meringue pie Also some delicious loooking cased baked goods, .I did not skimp on dessert, in fact I started with it...a delicious chocolatemilkshake topped with whipped cream and the maraschino cherry built to twist in your tongue when you're done if you can Master atask like that....my third course ended with a warm bagel and tea....an odd order...but I loved every sip, slurp, bite, swallowand lick the diner had to offer right down to my honey packet.???????? Saturday late morning and my daughter and I were in the mood for breakfast. The Point Diner offered the perfect solution. Ample... parking got us into the Point Diner quickly. The sounds and smells of a clean, well run beach Diner are like music to my ears.Fresh, hot coffee and orange juice kept us company while we chose our meals. My picky daughter ordered and ate the French toastand I had waffles with a side of bacon. Our meals were simple, came fast, tasted yummy, were relatively inexpensive and servedin a tasteful and clean environment. This is exactly what a diner should be. We recommend the Point Diner with FiveStars. TheBillo313 Read more
