If I could give this review 10 stars I would. I was out with a fair number of my coworkers for a work outing down in Solvang... this past week. After eating dinner at the Copenhagen Sausage Garden across the street which was great in its own right (Foodand Service), our group came over to be greeted by an awesome gentleman by the name of Jacob who was running Cali Love Wine on8/2. The night was so much fun, we all sang our hearts out over Karaoke until we shut the place down. Needless to say Irecommend Cali Love to anyone visiting Solvang, especially if you like bubbles, chambongs (champagne flute turned bubbly shooterlook it up), karaoke and an all around good time. Also, they have props that you can put on like hats and even guitars onstage. I am still reminiscing about my visit as it was definitely a highlight from the trip and everyone in my group agrees itwas a night to remember! Go to Cali Love Wine, you will not regret it. Read more
Lady was nice, first place I went that had cigarette flavored wine. There's a couple that are all right but nothing really any... good for the price. Any 2 dollar wine I've tasted was better than most of it. Read more
My husband and I stopped here during a quick stop through Solvang, as I had never been there and had always wanted to see this... cute little town. This was the first place we sat down at, as the winery next door had a weird vibe and the lady was rude. CaliLove is modern, chill, hip. The sommelier was wearing doc martens and a crop top. I couldn?t stop saying ?ooohh I love thisplace.? We got a wine tasting and there was not one wine I did not like and I?m in LOVE with their champagnes. LOVE. Perfect fora Sunday brunch or dessert. It?s a female owned business a who supports the LGBQT+ community, they do DRAG SHOWS and karaoke. Wejoined their wine club and took home 4 bottles. We had a STELLAR time at Cali Love. We brushed off our fear and participated in the funnest night of karaoke and delicious... wine. We were having such a good time that we forgot a bag of purchases there--2 days later, we think to call and Michelle tookcare of us! Ships tomorrow and safely home to Arizona. The rudest service I've experienced. Asked for one wine tasting got charged for two. The waiter (woman) was so intimidating. Of... the 4 rounds of the tasting she poured lesser each time. It was barely one sip. Overall, it was an expensive and disappointingexperience. I would highly recommend you go to another spot, there are plenty to try!!! As a venue it is kinda cool - the owners are making a good effort to make wine attractive to folks who may otherwise see it as... too highbrow a beverage. However, the wines they produce are not all that much different or better than those you can get atyour local supermarket, and in that respect are hugely overpriced. If they reduced their prices by $15 - $20 a bottle they'd bein the right price range. I was informed that they are a woman-owned, woman-run small company (and their fun design aestheticand wine selection certainly reflects that) and as such I hope that they grow in success, but I believe their pricing is a bitmuch when compared to other wines at the same price.
