Reviews for Fish Market Restaurant in Solana Beach, CA
Great food for the price and the server was very kind enough to give me another drink because it was close to the closing time... for free. My fiancé and I ordered Swordfish play with fries and thier potatoes and I had the Californian king salmon with greenbeans and fishwife rice. Very nice atmosphere and we will come here again! escaped the fair and had lunch here. The food was fresh well prepared. The service was excellent, my ice tea never even got half... full. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. The calamari steak and halibut sandwich we’re both very good. It’s about $20a plate. The restaurant was large and had nice booths. Read more
So I stopped hear and when something seems a little off I tend to ignore my intuition. I included pictures how it was given to... me. The garlic cheese bread was not cooked through enough to make the cheese stick it just started to fall off, the fish wasflaky breading falling off. The way it was presented excluding the service with out napkins are any utensils gave me theimpression this is not a diverse place to eat. Wish I could get a refund. I was just passing through, let me announce tomanagement yes I am from the island and of brown complexion I will not visit your location again. Read more
I’ve been coming to these restaurants for years. The one in Phoenix is wonderful. This one is just as good. The service is... always great, and the atmosphere is equally pleasing. Read more
This place always caught our eyes when we drive by, so we decided to gave it a try. The interior design here is very cool, I... love the ocean theme with a lot of fish installations on the wall. We sat on the bar, bartender is very friendly. We ordered awild caught halibut with baked potato and coleslaw on the side. And also a Cobb salad with crab meat. We loved the salad but thefish is just okay. We didn’t feel full after finished all the food, we ordered a dessert, key lime pie, which I feel it’sthe best dish in the whole meal. Read more
I been stopping at this restaurant for long time, always enjoyed the worm sourdough bread with butter, but it’s not offered... anymore. I had the swordfish, it was excellent. The serving staff was very professional and friendly. Prices are a little steep, but so is everything else, it’s called inflation! I hope the place is going to get better. Read more
Fish so fresh so tasty. Those sauces on the side are not as good but they food is good enough to compensate that
First time at this or any of their locations. Nothing special or to write home about. Went on a Sunday evening and this place... was less than half full but it took a good five minutes to have a waitress stop by and easily another 6-7 to get our firstdrinks. Bread is no longer free so we ordered some sourdough rolls. We both ordered a plate of mussels and they were excellentbut they no longer have pesto for them. For entree I got the rainbow trout, au gratin potatoes and Cole slaw. I was not able toswap one of two sides for a side salad which seems kind of silly. The trout was really pretty small, like half a fish. It's beenyears since I've had rainbow trout but I remember getting the whole fish, head and tail, and far more meat than this one. It waspretty good but not much in the way of seasoning or flavor. My companion got the calamari, her go-to dish anywhere it's served, but she thought for sure it wasn't fresh and tasted processed. All in all, for rolls, two plates of mussels, calamari, trout, aglass of Chardonnay and fruit punch, it came to over $102 which seemed pretty pricey for nothing spectacular in flavor (exceptthe mussels) and marginal service. Not much of an extensive menu either so don't see myself going back. Read more
