We really enjoyed our dinner at Bodega Burger company and lounge. We stopped because of their full parking lot. Inside was... comfortable and full of people. I ordered the Cobb Salad but subbed the chicken for the steak. Delicious! Steak was cooked perfect and salad was all fresh.
Yesterday (9-12-22) we went to Bodega Burger for a birthday dinner for my mom. We ordered (prime rib). Mom and I had to use the... restroom and when we got back to the table, we were informed the PR would be about 1 1/2 hours more to be ready. We thought mydad was playing a trick on us and it was not a trick. My mom ordered a cheeseburger but was dissapointed that we had gone 45miles on a recommendation from several people (myself included). The service was good and the other food was decent ( my dadssteak was a little tough at the end). My recommendation is call before going to make sure the PR will be ready. My mom is notwanting to go back and was dissapointed that a discount or offer for a PR dinner in the future was not offered. We went toBodega Burger on Monday (7-18-22). The food was delicious. Food was great. Nice prime rib dinners. Also the daily fish plate was visually appealing and tasty. Server however was... inattentive and more focused on his tips from previous tables. Asked for refills and acted like it was a chore. Sorry but thatwas unexpected. Read more
Great food, good service, I really recommend this place! The burgers are so good, and the tuna tacos were a nice surprise.... Overall, if you want to go to a nice place in Socorro for dinner, I?d give this place a try. Read more
I was attending a training program in town and some of my classmates decided to come here for dinner our last night. It appears... to be a formal restaurant at first, but it has a very laid back atmosphere. It is attached to a bar as well. I ordered the pattymelt with fries. It is one of the best patty melts I?ve ever had. Some of my classmates got steak, and others had sandwiches.Everyone agreed the food was really good. We also ordered desert. The cheesecake was huge and very delicious! After we finisheddinner, we walked to the bar. They had a decent selection of drinks including beer. They also have pool tables, shuffle board,darts, corn hole. There?s TVs which play the games going on that night. There?s also an outdoor patio, but I didn?t go out tosee it. Few small towns anywhere in the USA can boast such a quality and gourmet experience as Socorro. Bodega can stand its own against... Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.....or any big city for that matter. I had a 5-Star meal 3 weeks ago and want to reportmy experience. The staff was excellent, very friendly and willing to accommodate, and the venue itself was just so interestingand well-designed. I travel through Socorro every few weeks and stay the night because it is approximately half-way on myjourney. I have eaten at three other restaurants in town and have only found them average in most respects. Solid food, howevernothing on par with Bodega. I had the filet dinner and was very happy that it exceeded my expectations.The steak that wasperfectly done! How often can you say that? Next month I'll be back and will order the same meal with all the identicalparameters. Check back and I'll let you know......... EDIT: Still outstanding, Bodega has fully recovered from the Covid Ageand has improved on every level. How, you ask? The owner and staff have made it happen. Clear and simple. Bodega is only openfrom 4pm to 8pm because they discovered that that was their "sweet spot" and it has worked admirably. Again, I couldn't resistand had a Boneless Rib Eye that was pure bliss. Bodega has substantial vegetarian offerings including non-meat burgers so youmight still have a tasty meal and glass of wine in Socorro. The wine shop has expanded, too, assisting you with after dinnerpleasures back at the ranch. And WOW, I had not gone into the bar on my previous visit and this time I did which allowed me tosee the amazing pool table room and extra seating areas where you can still eat dinner. It was actually quieter in the bar areathan the main dining room, too, so I opted to eat at the "Penny Bar" which has 1,000's of US pennies embedded under the clearsurface. Read more
