Mike W. was the rudest waiter. I understand if you're busy and short-staffed but you don't walk by a table, after throwing our... food down, and never ask how our meal is or if we need anything else. We had intended to order another cocktail and 2 deserts, but didn't becuase of the rude service. Thankfully, the food was delicious. Read more

Elk was awesome and so was the short rib and the bread pudding in caramel sauce with ice cream. Exceptional!

Hidden gem of Snowbird. Best culinary experience not only in Snowbird but in SLC (incl. PC). Food is delicious, main and kids... menu. Waiters are very professional. Nice interior, but views (especially after snowstorm) are truly breathtaking! Like inwinter wonderland! Go there hungry or not and try to get window table. Read more

12/22/21 Update. Opening night for the season. Missing the Head Chef and GM, but hasn't lost a thing. Our server Kathleen was... working hard and doing a great job. Steak tartare was excellent as was the meatloaf and French onion soup. Sublime tofeedessert. Good selection of wine. Don't come if you're in a hurry. 2020: This is the second time we have dined here. Theatmosphere is nothing fancy, but the food, wine and service are fantastic. Last time we had the tartare, beet salad, salmon andduck (two ways). This time we had the tartare, beet salad, scallops, and elk. The tartare is one of the best we've had. The duckwas outstanding. Everything else was very good. They have a good wine list and if you ask the BIG GUY, he will make somerecommendations, some of which may be off the menu -- a real treat. Always too full for desert. Definitely one of the bestplaces in Little Cottonwood Canyon for a nice meal. Make a reservation! They are clised a couple days midweek. Read more

We got there early, a little after 5 pm and had the whole place to ourselves. Things started getting busy by the time we were... finishing up at around 6 pm. The food there was 1st rate. I loved the French onion soup, and the meatloaf. The meatloaf was sofresh and the waitress said they use really high quality meat for it. My husband had the kobe beef and said the meat was greatbut the flavorful sides were what really amazed him. We shared the chocolate gateau and it was decadent but not too sweet. Myhusband has Celiac's disease, and the gluten free options were clearly marked and a surprising amount of dishes were alreadygluten free. On a side note, our car had trouble getting up the mountain and the coolant was leaking which really stressed meout. As we were leaving, we asked the front desk of the lodge if they had any coolant (long shot I know), and they called apublic safety person. He was a mechanic and helped us fix the car and get home safely. He was so kind, and I was extremelygrateful for the amazing overall experience we had at Snowbird!! Read more
