I liked the porkchop. It got a 10. In average everything else a 7. The neckbones under cook because timer was down. ... Nevertheless, an expert cook and/or eater could eyeball it and see should have been cook at least 30 more minutes. It was tolight, now brown appearance. I would go back for the pork chop. Really disappointed after my recent visit. Have patronized this establishment several times before, but it has been 2 years due... to COVID. A management change has obviously taken place. Ordered a veggie plate and nothing, I repeat NOTHING, lived up to theThis Is It standard I?m accustomed to. Very bland taste for veggies. However, their cornbread was very good. Very good food but please focus on customer service. Kindness and consistency with all locations goes a long way. Did not... appreciate going to two different locations and the portion size was extremely different. When asked why received an attitudefrom the staff. People travel far and wide to come to your locations and receiving bad attitudes leaves a bad taste in yourmouth. Read more
We went at the suggestion of a coworker. The employee at the front was fixing plates when we walked in; and even though we stood... at the register for several minutes, he didn't acknowledge us. We finally were able to place our orders (1) bbq glazed salmonwith green beans and lima beans and (2) brisket (in bbq sauce) with macaroni and greens. We ordered plates to go, got backhome, and realized they put the wrong sides on the wrong plates. So the macaroni and greens were on the salmon plate, and thegreen beans and lima beans were on the brisket plate. None of the meats had any bbq sauce on it. Not big portion sizes at all.The amount of food doesn't equal what is being charged - brisket plate $25, salmon plate $20, no drinks or desserts. Andunfortunately, the sides were alright but neither meat was seasoned. Needless to say, we were both disappointed, don't plan onvisiting again, and wouldn't recommend. Read more
The cornbread was good. The greens and chicken was under cook. The macaroni taste okay. The owner overcharge me. Charge me... almost $50 for two plates for some undercook meat. Smh ??????????? never going here again ???? the peach and lemonade juice hadso much sugar in it , can send someone into a diabetic colma! Read more
THIS AINT IT!! Do yourself a favor and drive to the Decatur, Lithonia, or Camp creek location. The food at those locations is... always fire. The food here was was trash. Grease all in the baked beans and cabbage, rib tips were tough and the sauce wasgreasy. That gray blob you see in the pic is supposed to be peach cobbler. I threw away the entire plate. This location doesn?t live up to the franchise standard. All of the food was greasy?the rib tips, the rice, and the cabbage. The... banana pudding was underwhelming. The bananas were old & brown and there was hardly any of the marshmallow topping on it. Thecup of baked beans looked more like a cup of chili and was also greasy. I?m not sure who the cook is at this location but y?allshould consider replacing them. For whatever reason, the cook has confused soul food with greasy, fast food with no flavor. Theonly good things were the cornbread and the drink. I?d rather drive an hour to the Camp Creek location. Read more
