La Fuente caters to those who are looking to satisfy their Mexican food craving. The La Fuente Burrito and Rio Grande Burrito... are burritos done right, with the cheese sauce adding a wonderful touch. I prefer the steak to the chicken, it tends to be moreflavorful in my honest opinion. The salsa isn't anything special but is still salsa done right. Read more

Not too bad as far as Mexican restaurants go, I prefer taquerias but a good Mexican restaurant Is enjoyable from time to time. I... wish they used traditional shredded beef in their chimichangas instead of the “beef tips”. I’ve never seen a Mexicanrestaurant use beef tips instead of traditional shredded beef. I promise shredded beef tastes better than these beef tips andit’s less awkward to eat. Their ranchera enchiladas are great, I’m usually pretty weary when Mexican restaurants put sauceson top of things because most of the time they suck, plain and simple, but these guys got it right, Their beans are pretty good, nothing to go crazy about but I definitely eat all of the beans when I get them. It tastes like they cook them in lard which isappreciated, that’s the best way to cook them. Their Chile verde is meh, it is not spicy at all, and every time I have triedit, it tastes like they use too much tomatillos which is a strange taste. It’s not bad per se but not great. I probablywouldn’t get that again though. I will definitely be back but probably only once every few months due to things not beingcooked very traditional and honestly most things are bland. There’s definitely better places to go to but if you’re wantingmexican and don’t wanna leave Smithville, this place is fine. Read more

Carne asada enchiladas- good stuff. I took the first bite and it was so good I continued eating and forgot to take a picture.... Salsa had a little heat but not overwhelming for a non-spicy pallette. We visited a couple of years ago and came back. We'll beback again. Read more

The staff is so nice and friendly. They are very quick to get your order and even to get your food out. The prices are... reasonable as well. The reason for the 3 stars is because the food is pretty bland. There isn't a ton of flavor to anything. Read more
