It was ok. The sandwich was mediocre at best. It was more of a quick comfort food type of place. I read other reviews about this... place, their costumer service. Will have to agree that it does need a bit of improvement. As a first time costumer here, I kindof had to figure out how the process was, girls at the front were more interested in their own conversations than my confusedface. Glad that the lady behind me was kind enough to tell me how you order here. There is a little paper you fill out on whatyou want whether it is one of their combo meals or a la cart. When your order is done they call your name and hand you yourpaper baggie with all your food in it. FyI if you get soup the spoons are right were you pick up your food. I don't know how to rate honestly... the food and service were great. I got a bacon chicken ranch melt and cheddar broccoli soup... both were so good but my experience being there was awful in the fact it was almost 100° outside and it was so hot inside I wassuffocating. Idk if your ac was broken or if you're trying to save money by not getting one but I was miserable for the 10minutes we were there. I can't imagine how your employees feel. Read more
Love getting bagles here. I got the Asiago cheese and loved it. The staff is quick. Their soup os very good too. I know they're... cooking and heating it all day but it still tasted fresh.price is very reasonable as well. Read more
Let me tell you about the experience I just had at Old Grist Mill, Smithfield. What a joke! I ordered the usual, combo #1. I... realized about 3 minutes after paying that I didn't receive my drink cup. No biggie. I just went and asked for one. No problem.I fill my drink, and wait for my sandwich. And wait. And WAIT. I notice the 3 girls and 1 boy behind the counter eating whatlooked like heel ends of bread and turnovers and I even witnessed a selfie being taken! First of all, employees shouldn't beeating behind the counter. If they want to eat they should be eating at a designated table or break area. And I promiseyou....your Instagram can wait until your customers are taken care of and you are off the clock. I decide maybe it's time Iapproach the counter or at least get closer, so that is what I do. I stand there with my drink cup in hand and finally one girlrealizes I'm standing there (I'm the only one in the store at this point who is waiting for a "to go" order and there is onlyone other table with customers, and they already have their food.) She realizes my order ticket by the cash register and makesmy sandwich and as I'm standing there, I over hear "We don't have any yellow peppers." (Not spoken directly to me) The replywas, "Ya. I know. I'll go write a sign." So...I don't have yellow peppers on my sandwich but I only know this because I overheard it, and not because I was told in a professional manner that "I'm sorry, we are out of yellow peppers." But as you cansee, I did get my pickles. #Letsnotoverdoit! I'm just glad I finally got my sandwich. GAH! This isn't the first time I've hadvery bad customer service at this location and it seems to always be between 5 and 6 p.m. I at least got meat on my sandwich,unlike my friends husband. :( True story. Some training needs to be done at this location, ASAP or sadly I don't think it will last. I think I've given the Smithfield location my last days business. Read more
Food was delicious!! Place is easy to find and prices are reasonable. The place needs someone to wipe the tables and clean the... counters though?. The restroom was clean. Read more
Dropped off an order for a family party 2 hours before scheduled pickup time. Showed up on time, paid, and then they told us... that they had not even started and would start in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later and I see a lot of people who were here before usstill waiting around for their food too. Everyone seemed to enjoy the sandwiches though. Read more
Great sandwiches on fresh bread (The sourdough is excellent) & Soup is good too. Cookies & treats from here are like homemade.
