Not great atmosphere (it's inside a gas station) but the service and food were top notch.

When the reviews say that it is in a gas station, it is THE MOST in a gas station an eatery can get. Like, it is IN the gas... station convenience store. The counter staff were not too attentive - we weren't greeted or asked what we would like - we justordered. We got fries, stuffed grape leaves, and chicken and falafel (combined) wraps. The chicken was cooked RIGHT THERE - itisn't microwaved. The falafel was fried fresh, so were the fries - that is a reoccurring theme here at Pick Pockets - freshness. As they constructed our wraps, they grew larger and larger - generously piled with all the ingredients we could want. This was like Subway, but the food was actually good and the wraps actually tasted like real bread products. I couldn't believethe size of the wrap - it was truly astounding. After a bite, I was sold. It was fairly good falafel, good chicken, goodhummus... It was all average to above average - more above than below to tell it straight. Was it THE BEST I EVERHAD? Eastside Pockets' falafel was better. Coffee Connections' was probably the best I've had recently. The falafel itself istasty, but I feel like the flavour needs to be kicked up a smidge. More herbs, more spices. That is the biggest culinarycomplaint I can muster. Atmosphericly, the place is just the inside of a convenience store. Bright light, tables with chairsyou need to go are down for yourself. A yeah - there are better wraps out there, but these guys seem to deliver Consistency. Read more

I try to never give negative reviews because I believe in just rolling with the positive and chalk things up to a bad day. This... time is different though. I have never had a meal that was more tasteless than this one. Off putting flavor combined with acomplete absence of salt definitely made this the worst meal I've experienced in a long time. Waste of 45 dollars. Read more
