10/10 for ambiance and food Great place to go with family and friends for dinner or even just to grab a drink. The staff is so... kind and accommodating. Gary, the owner, was so helpful! I was struggling finding a location to have dinner after my weddingceremony and Gary was honest and helpful with me. So much so he even recommended other locations where I can go to accommodateme. WARNING ??, this place is an economic scam. Let's start with the things they don't tell you. An automatic 20% gratuity is added... to your check for parties of five or more. Our family has two adults two teenagers and one 3-year-old. They considered fivemeals being five people. They have no children's menu. We had to ask for a small side of pasta for our 3-year-old. Theyconsidered that a meal and added the automatic gratuity. Scam number one. They also advertise on their chalkboards outside andbefore entering the restaurant, (picture included) and on small chalkboards on the second floor, that during "Happy Hour" from3:00 to 5:00 daily you will receive 20% off all of your entire bill including alcoholic beverages. What's not disclosed on anyof the signs, and what no waiter or staff tell you, is that this "Happy Hour" deal only applies if you're sitting at the bar.Scam number two. My family's lunches were well prepared and came out timely. This is the only reason they'd receive even onestar. My Anchor Burger, ordered rare, took some extra time and did not come out with the rest of the table. When it finallyarrived, it was well done - as in burnt. We're not splitting hairs on medium versus medium-well. We're talking about a burgerthat should have been rare, and was a hockey puck. No children's menu. You should also be aware that they automatically add a3% credit card charge to your bill. For lunch for two adults, two teens and a toddler, we wasted over $151 dollars. NEVERAGAIN. Read more
The food was bleh. Didn’t really have any flavor. The drinks were pretty good, and strong. The service was alright, but it was... a busy Friday night, and I went with a fairly large party. The staff was great. Food was good. Drinks could use a little work. I gave 2 stars because the reservation were messed up. The... owner eventually found it but it was too late for outdoor seating on the roof because our seating was giving away. He promisedto make it right since we were celebrating a friend's birthday and our reservation was made well in advance. But it wasn't. Verydispleased on how it was handled. Read more
My experience at Hudson Anchor Restaurant in Sleepy Hollow was incredible! I ordered the Anchor Burger, and they cooked it... perfectly to my liking (medium). The burger was jam-packed with delicious flavors seated nicely between a fresh lightly-toastedbrioche bun. I've never seen a restaurant deliver part of its logo in a burger bun, so props to the creativity. Thetruffle-parmesan fries were packed full of flavor and had a delightful crunch, making an excellent pairing with my burger. I ateat the bar, but the dining area layout is spacious and decorative. With all the boat decorations, you feel like you arepeacefully out at sea enjoying a great meal. The bartender was very attentive and kind, which was nice to see. I will bereturning soon! Read more
Me and my wife make it an October thing every year to come up to Westchester from brooklyn to see the Blaze and all the... Halloween events in sleepy hollow and every year we head to Hudson Anchor for dinner. They real do spooky season right! Food isgood, and Halloween vibes all October long. Always playing a Halloween soundtrack, fall drinks are A+ and they always decoratewell for the season. Highly recommend for brunch/dinner if you’re around town for fall and autumn and looking for a place toeat with the spooky vibe!! Staff is always so friendly too!
