As I sat with my adult son, his eyes kept gravitating to your dining room employee Janelle. He interrupted our conversation to... share that he was so impressed by her level of service. I ran a restaurant for many years, so I decided to pay attention. Herlevel of excellence was impressive. She greeted everyone she came across, was quick to clean up and did it all with a smile.Beyond shadows of doubt, I would not have hesitated to have someone like her work in my restaurant. At the end of our meal wedecided to compliment her. She was moved by our praise and shared that she just wanted to bring a bit of positivity to thisworld. We assured her she did. We expressed our observation to one of the supervisors who seemed to be a bit unimpressed. Iknow he was busy, but should have at least "faked" being interested. First time visitor. Service was kind of slow, despite having several workers; but i did appreciate the level of customer... service! Note to self...shroom burger is not a patty! If you have a kiddos, note the birthday shake can be a choking hazarddue to the small crunch pieces. Burger was good...fries were okay...i probably would try again. Read more

I went to the shakeshack in Old Orchard today and did a to-go hamburger. As I entered the store, the cashier hurried away and a... moment later a male clerk from the kitchen took the order with no sincerity. They weren't busy at all at 3 p.m., the guest wasjust me and my daughter, but my food didn't come out until 20 minutes later. I was waiting right in front of him, but he didn'teven call me by name. More seriously, when I arrived home and looked at the food, there were uncooked patties and spoiledlettuce. It was simply food that people couldn't eat. Now the whole world is very serious with Covid-19. But the shakeshackcompany did this cruel thing to me by saying that environmental protection was a priority, and I was very disappointed withthem. I understand that shake shack is a famous burger chain and in fact, the meat quality on their shake stack is quite superb, but... charging a whopping $10 especially when it is small and does not include french fries is a total rip-off. otherwise, there isnice outdoor seating and the hosts are super nice. Shroom Burger was very good. Crunchy outside texture, a large mushroom head with melted muenster cheese oozing out with each... bite from the patty. The Shack sauce is also good, but basically another form of mayo. The buns are nice and sweet, but gettingavocado added for an extra $1.25 wasn't very worth it as it only had 2 slices. -1 star for the value ($10 for a small burgerwith avocado) but it was enjoyable. We stopped by here today to have some dinner since we always see how packed this restaurant is. There was a slight... misunderstanding with our order but thanks to amazing manager of this location everything has resolved quickly and efficiently.It?s indeed mind blowingly delicious, shakes aren?t that super sweet and heavy comparing for instance the Culver?s ones. We willbe coming back to eat their yummy burgers for sure, so far one of the best burgers I?ve ever eaten. Read more
