Good location for this hot chicken spot. I didn't know it was hidden back in this easy access corner. This is now my favorite... entrance to the mall. Old Orchard is somehow hanging on. Weird place to order. We were seated and she informed us that the menu was on line. You order on line and pay on line. The only... problem was the internet connection was terrible. Eventually a girl at the counter gave us a menu and took our payment. Foodwas okay. I had a salad with rice and my husband had chicken thighs. Not something I would go out of my was to get. Read more
The famous flavor of Nandos Peri Peri located in one of Chicagolands best malls aka Old Orchard Mall. The customer service here... is great. The food is made fresh and the chicken is delightfully well seasoned and comes with the famous peri peri flavor. Theambience is great too. You can self serve yourself with bottles of their famous peri peri sauce that go perfect with theirchicken which is already incredibly well seasoned and grilled to perfection. They also have a convenient hand washing stationright next to the sauces so you dont have to go to the restroom to wash your hands. Best spot in all of Old Orchard Mall forgood clean healthy eats with fresh food full of flavor. So go check them out! P.s. they also have vegetarian options! Read more
Usually get the half chicken but decided to switch it up and try the wings. All their chicken can be ordered in different... flavors (w/ different levels of spiciness) that you can get 'em sauced in. Usually get "Hot" and dip 'em in a variety of theirother sauces they have laid out in bottles. The sauce is the Boss! The wings were good but they're on the smaller side. So inmy opinion, at the price, they're not really worth it. You'd be better off just getting the regular chicken portions. it is literally a chicken place. i ordered a chicken feta avocado bowl. when i got home after not eating all day, i opened my... bowl to discover that they didnt put chicken. i called to tell them and they left me on hold for over 10 minutes. they called meback and helped me. besides the fact that there was no chicken the bowl was really good. Nando?s chicken is always the best, no doubts about that. The 5 star is specifically for this location - for the prompt... service, good staff, everyone wearing masks properly in the kitchen and even the regular sanitizing of different saucebottles. Fan recommended - mix the hot sauce and garlic sauce and then dip your chicken in that. Yummy! Read more
Pros... Very clean restaurant. Staff is very kind and clearly knowledgeable about the menu. All staff wears masks and social... distancing is enforced. Outdoor seating is available and pretty clean out there too. Ambiance is pleasant with a more formalChipotle feel. From order to receiving it took 15 min which isn't too bad, but it wasn't busy, so I recommend ordering inadvance for quick pick up. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom & Halloumi Wrap. This wrap was fantastic, and despite not being achicken dish, it was a home run. Halloumi is a soft and salty goat/sheep cheese which is grilled here and oddly looks likechicken, but pairs very well with the mushrooms and arugula. The sauce is the best part though. It's sweet and savory andavailable in plain, mild, mango, or hot. The mild was very mild but tasted very savory/umami. Why only 4 stars? Aka Cons... Iwas disappointed with the Portuguese Rice. It was greasy and lacked a flavor identity. The corn on the cob was simple. Not bad,but nothing special. Pair this with the slightly long wait, and that's why it gets 4 stars, but a great spot in Westfield OldOrchard, and worth returning. Read more
