Reviews for Jarasa Kabob in Skokie, IL
My friend told me about this place and I?m mad I didn?t find it earlier. This place makes fresh clean delicious and hearty... portioned meals consistently. Everything I?ve had here is a slam dunk. Shawarma bowls, feta fries, mix entree all amazing. Can?twait to try other items. And the staff is awesome too. Read more
I was up in the area one evening and craving chicken shawarma. For reference, my go-to is Falafel & Grill in Wicker Park. This... place is as good as that. I walked in and placed and order, then drove 25 minutes back into the city. By the time I got home, everything was still fresh and warm. Everything was flavorful and delicious. While the spicy rice and hot sauce had a kick, theywere not burn-your-tongue hot. The staff was very friendly. They even gave me a nice sized sample of lentil soup because it wasa chilly night. Even though I?m in the city, I plan to make this place a regular haunt. It?s worth the drive! Read more

Used to love this place. Hovering between 2 and 3 stars cause the food is pretty good. When eating at the restaurant it?s... fantastic. Portions are fantastic. Favorite thing to get is the feta steak fries. However when ordering portions suck. Justordered Uber eats with 4 orders of steak fries and these guys skimped us massively. Maybe it?s because you guys are usually sogood that this was underwhelming for me. Just wish there was some more steak/feta on there like there usually is. Also I?d liketo note that when ordering in person you can get 2 sauces with feta fries. They don?t give you the option on Uber eats. Theycharge extra for sauces on the side I find this a bit annoying. Read more
Thank you for tour reply. As you mentioned your kitchen is open concept and anyone can see you preparing the food but could you... please explain how can 2 dishes be prepared and served in less than 3 minutes? I am not here to blame you as a customer I justexpressed my experience and I believe if it is taken care off your restaurant will definitely gain more customers who will visityou frequently. Their chicken kebab is good but just like the last time, the rice in the platter was not served hot. They gavesome complimentary lentil soup to try which tasted good. The bowl option is good because you can create your own bowl based onyour choice. The mashed potato (one ingredient in the bowl) was not freshly prepared. Their food recipe is good so is theiroverall ambiance but the food should be prepared fresh and served warm ( specially when people dine in they want to eat thefreshly prepared hot food). I hope they will pay attention to this before my next visit. Read more
First time here and was delicious! I?m usually picky with the way my chicken is made but this place was perfect. I will have to... come back to try more dishes. It is also halal which makes it even better. Definitely recommend for anyone craving middleeastern food Read more

The owner is very friendly and generous! Won't be my last visit. Read more
I come here a lot and have turned a lot of new customers their way. They have a lot of good food, but sometimes it?s a big miss,... I?m assuming maybe just when they?re busy. One thing I will say, avoid the steak kabob plate. For the amount you pay, you getway less meat than any other item on the menu. Read more
