Reviews for Historic Skagway Inn in Skagway, AK
We ate here and loved it. Met the chef really fresh food. They harvest from the garden out back!

I haven?t stayed anywhere else in Skagway so cannot compare the Historic Skagway Inn with others. We spent 3 days, 2 nights and... have to say I did not want to leave. The queen sized bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Loved the old fashionedtelephone, certainly added to the Gold Rush theme. The morning breakfasts were delicious, the service can?t be topped. Karl andRosemary are truly the best hosts ever. Highly recommend booking this historic building, you won?t regret it. Read more
This is by far the best place to stay in Skagway and a top place to stay when visiting Alaska. The Owner is top notch and does... what he can to make your stay the best. Breakfast in the morning is always hot and fresh. The information about each of the roomformer history is awesome. I look forward to stay here in the future. Read more
We had the halibut and salmon puff pastry. We didn't even know you can have fish in a pastry like this. The salmon was fine but... the halibut tasted exceptionally good. The seafood chowder is good. We just came from the world famous Pike Place Chow a fewdays before which is said to be the best anywhere. Olivia's chowder is more thick with different flavors, but still good! Read more
Excellent food great service. The best food we have had on our 7 day cruise. The food was fresh seasoned to perfection. This... was a awesome departure from all the fried fish we have found in all the other ports we visited. The fish tacos were greatcomparable to San Diego who had the best hands down. Well this place does them right. The halibut chowder was very good and mygrilled halibut was wonderful. My wife's halibut pastry was equally amazing. Read more
This was our first trip to Alaska, and the Skagway Inn was the perfect place to stay. From the history or the building, to the... amazing breakfasts we were served each morning we had such a great time. The rooms are all named after girls who used to liveand work in the area. The beds were comfortable and had a lot of character! Karl gave us some great recommendations and talkedto us about viewing the northern lights. Breakfast was always fresh with ingredients from the garden in the back! Everyone wasvery friendly and more than helpful, and everything was within walking distance of the Inn. I would highly recommend to anyonelooking for a place to stay! Read more
