My dad got sent here for medical and isn?t doing too good so me and my sister came and stayed at the hotel. The first time we... came the bed I had there were bed bugs. They gave us one night free and moved us across the hall cuz it was the only room openthat has 3 beds. They said they?d give me quarters to wash my laundry which they never did. The receptionist today is no good. We?re here staying again because not many affordable options and our room ran out of toilet paper. My family go down stairs toask and first time they said they had to go to the store and get some. Which okay?weird but village thing. Go down and checkagain and ask if they can just take a roll from a room not being used and she just makes an excuse saying she doesn?t know she?sbeen out a couple days and doesn?t help at all. If there were other affordable places go there. Read more

This hotel is really really nice. I am blown away by the quality for the price. The shower is amazing and the water is nice and... hot. They picked me up from the airport and dropped me off on time. The breakfast is not good so avoid it. It has coin laundryon site and I heard there is a jacuzzi suite penthouse on top but that it?s super expensive. This hotel is is in the center ofit all and I don?t think I?ll stay anywhere else in town next time I visit. Read more

Adequate but I wouldn?t recommend staying here. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff, unresponsive to phone calls, messages, and other... forms of communication (faxes?) The hotel was quite noisy, lots of sound between floors and through walls. K-cup coffee wasgood, though! And location is convenient. Try elsewhere if it?s available! Read more

Our flight from Juneau to Sitka was canceled, which shortened our trip to Sitka by a day. The staff at Sitka Hotel is excellent... and the rooms and mattresses very comfortable. The breakfast, which we had to partake of at the wee hours of the morning, wastruly continental, but satisfying (yogurt, cereal, instant oatmeal, small muffins, etc.). Wish we could have stayed here aslong as we wanted. Great location. Highly recommended. Airport shuttle was very handy and timely/well organized. Read more

Very well located just off the main shopping areas in Sitka. Somewhat updated rooms provide the basics. Clean. It was odd that... the bathroom sink had no sink surround to place your personal travel kit. A razor hardly fits. Also odd and totally unexpectedwas the staff who came across unfriendly and disinterested . The Sitka Hotel also has a restaurant attached. The food was goodbut not great, that honor went to the prices. Fish and chips=$38.00 for three small slices of breaded fish and a big bunch ofsemi soggy fries. I would not recommend the restaurant but the hotel is ok. Read more

The hotel was clean and the shuttle service was efficient. However, we waited 45 minutes to request milk, cereal and bread for... the breakfast bar. Others were waiting to check out at the front desk. This was a daily occurrence. Read more

This little hotel had potential, but fell flat in reality. I called the night before my stay to find out if there would be... shuttle service from the airport and they assured me that all I had to do was call upon landing and they would come get me. Ilanded in Sitka at 11am and called four times with no answer - I even left a message and never got a call back. I ended uphauling my luggage and walking to the hotel in the rain, as there are very few options for taxi service. It was a little over amile. Then when I got there and asked the front desk woman about it, she was very unapologetic and said "Yeah, we're busy." Sheissued me my room key and I went upstairs. The room itself was very nice - the bed was comfortable, the remodel has obviouslybeen a good thing. There was a full kitchenette with microwave, fridge/freezer, and stove. The view, however, out of bothwindows was a brick wall and a tall wooden fence, and I was assigned a room over the restaurant which was loud with slammingdoors until very late into the evening. I asked if I could move rooms and was told there were none available - even though Isaw many that were being cleaned post-check out and rooms do not appear to be assigned until check in. The walls of the hotelare paper thin and I could hear every word of every conversation on all sides. The vending machines were almost empty when Iwent looking for water and a late snack. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and my room was never cleaned or restocked - I took myown trash out and had to ask for garbage bags and coffee supplies. All staff except the one gentleman who worked later in theevening were curt, rude, and unhelpful. After the first night, I considered moving over to the Westmark or Aspen or Super 8 andI wish I had. I would not recommend staying here for your Sitka vacation. Read more
