We just had our first meal at Flavors and it won?t be our last! Mike knows how to sell it and Dee knows how to cook it. The mild... jerk pork was amazing. It had the perfect flavor I didn?t even know I was looking for. Complimented with the fried sweetplantains and a big serving of yellow rice, i couldn?t have asked for anything more. I left full and satisfied and couldn?t stoptalking about it on the ride home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something new. * Located in the parking lot behind the Simsbury Historical Society *...I had the good fortune of meeting Mike one of the food... truck owners. He was kind super friendly and a helpful guide to his delicious food. My heritage is about as far as you can getfrom Caribbean. I thoroughly enjoyed the jerk pork, rice and beans, and sweet plantains. I didn't expect to like the plantainsso I was surprised that they were very good. The jerk pork had a hint of heat and excellent flavor. The prices are reasonableespecially considering the high quality food. There are café tables and chairs to use and it's quite behind the historicalsociety. I will definitely be back. Read more
My wife and I stopped here today on a whim during a long bike ride and it was great. We took it to go and ate at the nearby... Flower Bridge park. I got the roasted beef sandwich and my wife had pulled chicken. Both looked so beautiful, the lovely ladiesnearby asked us where we got it. I also got the rice & beans, which were cooked perfect. My wife had the lemonade withstrawberry - that seemed pricey, but it was very good. They take Apple Pay & Google Pay and all sorts of stuff, so great if youare out with only your phone.
