By far one of my favorite restaurants. I am over the moon that they?ve managed to reopen. Apparently, the family lost everything... during COVID, but they?re trying again. Albeit only open for carry out right now while they save money to buy back tables andchairs and kitchen items. They had to sell everything. Thank goodness they?re back! I just had my favorite trio - pickled mangopork, curry chick peas with scallions and coconuts chicken curry. It was even better than I remembered. Read more
My favorite neighborhood spot in Silver Spring! Amazing food and large portions for a reasonable price. Huge menu but you can?t... go wrong with the curry or noodles with Burmese dressing. Dishes are extremely spicy so keep that in mind when choosingmild/medium/hot. Support this local business! Read more
We've been going to Mandalay for many years and always enjoy the food. Beware, they are generous with the spice. Medium packs... quite the kick for me, but others in our party opted for mild. Sadly, dining in is not currently an option. I do hope theybring back the tables and chairs soon (& reopen the bar as the drinks were fantastic!). Myself, wife Sandy and our dear neighbor, Celeste, went to the reopening celebration. It's been a couple of years since they... were open in Silver Spring and were we happy.
